Chuy's

20 minutes wait took 45 minutes. Food was very good and huge portion. Free chips and salsa. The fajita was huge that we had leftovers and the tortillas were made fresh and super good. The Elvis Presley was huge and really good. The waiter was very friendly and super on top of refills. Free chips refills. The drink was alright but not worth $12.

Service was a bit all over the place. There were friendly and not so friendly servers. Waited awhile to sit down even though they didn't seem too busy. Probably due to lack of help. Our server was attentive to us at all the wrong times. I got the Chuychanga. It had really great flavors but after biting into it closer to the middle, the chicken was ice cold----just out of the fridge? The server took it back and brought another plate. It was at least warm throughout on the second try. I don't think they know how to prep and cook it properly. It's too bad because I absolutely love Chuy's and was heartbroken when they closed in Tallahassee. I hope they can get it together because I would love for this chain to come back alive.

We stopped by for a quick bite on our way home. I had the Chicka-chicka boom boom. Spicy in all of the right ways. Plated to perfection. And always a great choice. The wife had a chuy changa. Her favorite. If you are around any of their locations it I a must stop and try. I like my Chicka-chicka boom boom extra spicy. Just ask. Our waitress Allison was great and attentive even with many tables. She was working hard and she did a fantastic job.

The dog house. I call Chuy’s the dog house because they have cute dog frames all over the restaurant. It is just beautiful to eat and have those dog frames staring at you. However, their food is below average in terms of taste but they serve decent portions. You might also be throw off by their rusted hot plates. The plate was cracked as well and I couldn’t eat the food because I was scared of the rust.
