***review for the bakery-hope they see it*** TO MY CELIACS AND GLUTEN INTOLERANT community. If you need a gluten free cake for an event - THIS PLACE IS LIKE THE MAGICAL PLACE TO GO!! I rarely write reviews but yesterday, I hosted an event and wanted a gluten free cake. I know that I have had amazing cakes from this Wegmans over the years but not gluten free. I only did a simple half a sheet of one side white/yellow and the other side chocolate with the whipped frosting ............ OMGEEEZZZZZZ I don't know what magic Wegmans did but that cake tasted ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!!! My guests also raved about the cake - you couldn't even tell it was gluten free (except for the fact you didn't get sick after eating it). It was soft and moist and a fan fave. If I host another event and need a gluten free cake - I will go no further!! This is my go to place. Also I don't know who can let the bakery staff know - whoever wrote on my cake has the most beautiful penmanship!!! The perfect dessert for my function. Thanks Wegmans bakery in Gainesville <3

I love Wegmans. The best breads (Garlic Tuscan and Miche Sourdough for the best Grilled Cheese Sandwiches), delicious, pastries and cheeses ever. The fresh food section is great with lots of tasty choices. Get the pizza! And the wine shop is hard to beat, giving Total Wine a run for their money. Cameron in the sub sandwich area was THE ABSOLUTE BEST!! He was very patient and accommodating with my 86 year old friend, and was super polite and helpful. He should definitely be in the running for employee of the month.

The grocery store is great, has many many things of good quality. Pricing is good particularly on the Wegmans items. However the hot heat at the store food was disappointing. Not as many choices as the last time we were here, and they used to actually have a restaurant where they cook the food in front of you, and that's not here anymore.

Awesome place to shop/eat/have a coffee/chill! Staff very helpful! Cookies and bread to die for! Red/white/blue bread=cranberries blueberries and the white of the sugar coating (not really sure about what the white stands for.) but the best bread ever but it’s seasonal! Good prices for store brand of dog food! Visiting from Michigan. Wish you’d bring Wegmans to my state! But I’ve been visiting VA a lot lately!

07/06/23 Today I got some sushi, awesome sushi by the way and I was eating it upstairs and as usual I could not open the little ginger bags without the little cut to open them, but here comes Mary to the rescue, I saw her cleaning tables with a nice smile on, so I decided to ask for help and she came with paper scissors and helped me out open them! Some people are super friendly, others are nice, some smart, and then there’s Mary to beat them all, thank you Mary you’re the best ever! ——— I love this store, I come here a lot for items I can’t find in other grocery stores. Their Wegman’s brand products are pretty awesome too, and by far this is the nicest staff and cleanest Wegmans out of the 3 I know in this area.
