Firehouse Subs

It was the first time visiting Firehouse Subs. I was overall impressed with the interior decor. I bought the medium meatball Parm sub and the cheese steak sub. The food was absolutely delicious. One of the best subs in the entire state of Florida. The only downside, the staff. They could have been a lot more upbeat and cordial. Very unprofessional. Not excited about their job, no warm greeting, no smile, no thank you, come again! It doesn't warrant taking off a star but as a nurse and professional, they need to be taught proper etiquette and manners. This keeps customers coming back.

Great establishment to eat at and they give back to our hometown heroes! The facility in DeLand was very clean and well maintained. During my visit it was very busy and crowded, but the staff did an excellent job at keeping the line moving. I was very impressed at how well the staff behind the counter worked together and communicated to keep everything flowing at a steady pace. With how busy it was not only did I get my lunch fast but it was well made! I had an Italian sub and my husband enjoyed a Firehouse "Hero"! Thank you for a clean, fast, efficient,and delicious meal!

It was busy with the lunch crowd so patience was required. They were having a little confusion with the in house and online orders. The steak and cheese sub was fine but bare in mind small is pretty small but adequate. Combo comes with pickle, chips and drink. Everyone was friendly. If paying by card they offer you the option to round up your total for charity and also to add a tip for counter service.

28 Nov 2020 Food and service were both great! But..... We were very disappointed that there is ZERO enforcement of the face mask requirement that they clearly posted on the entry door! Look, I'm not a fanatical, sky-is-falling, mask nut. And I certainly don't want your employees to get into scuffles with difficult and ignorant patrons! But I do want our local business to take this COVID situation seriously. There is a reason for the mask requirement... A VERY GOOD reason. And if you don't intend to enforce it, take the sign down! Don't post it on your doors because the city requires it and then ignore the rules.

We ordered online for pick up. Paid for large drinks, but no large cups were available. No ice in dispenser. When we asked for ice, an employee told my 5 year old he could go get the ice himself. When we were brought ice, it was one cup of ice for 3 drinks. Chili and cookies were put in the same bag. Chili got all over the cookies. Sandwiches were not made as ordered.

I am a big fan of firehouse this particular day was un called for in my opinion. There was 5 or 6 sandwich makers. A large order came through, instead of having 3 do the large order and 2 to take care of in house customers, a usual 10 15 min wait time ended up being over 30. And didn't get my pickle to one sandwich and the extra one I added on. Was very unsatisfied on this particular day
