7-eleven

Wednesday 12/28/2021 10:25PM I went into the 7 Eleven at Dekalb Oasis to fuel up my car, buy a bag of ice, and use the rest room. I walked over to open indoor entrance which leads to male and female facilities and found the entrance blocked by two saw horses with a hand written cardboard sign which said bathrooms are closed. I did a double take after initially reading the sign since i was expecting to see the sign indicating bathrooms are closed - for cleaning. This was not the case since a gentleman identifying him self as the manager approached me after i saw the sign and indicated the bathrooms were in fact closed with the leaving of the last shift. I asked the gentleman if this was company policy and his name. He indicated that it is company policy and declined to give his name. The manager than asked me to leave the premises. I am hoping an ownership representative will post a response to the policy of closing restrooms in the evening. This creates an inconvience for people who need to buy gas and use the restroom in the evening since after gasing up they need to drive over to the main Oasis building to use the rest room. My thoughts on my interaction with the manager. I am a regular working guy and i know, as we all do, that people have bad days. When this seems to be the case, I try to deescalate any potential verbal conflict by wishing the person well and walking away. This interaction with the manager did not seem to be the result of the manager having a bad day. Instead it seems to be the result of incomplete training and performance monitoring. I would recommend / request that this manager be provided with additional training handle customer concerns with more professionalism ownership would expect from a 7- Eleven store manager.

If I could give a zero Stars I would. Bad customer service. Their toilets were disgusting. Upon our arrival two employees were talking among themselves behind the counter if only they used the time to keep the restrooms cleaned. This 7-11 us lucky to have other chains next to them such as McD's, Subway, Starbucks etc. Otherwise there service is lacking majorly along with restrooms cleaning.
