Their famous poblano soup was indeed pretty good. It's a little spicy though. The rest of their food is good but not great, but the price makes it worth it. I think it was like ten dollars for a lunch special which includes half a sandwich, a bowl of soup, and house salad. Not a bad deal. My only complaint is the bell that the kitchen staff ring when they set a meal on the counter for the wait staff to deliver. It was VERY loud, and they would ring it several times each time.

I like to visit this cafe every time I come to Corpus. The poblano soup is delicious and a must try if you stop by. They have good sandwiches as well. It's a small cafe and close to Ocean Dr. This time the cafe smelled like sewer for some reason... I was able to tolerate the smell because I really wanted the soup. I hope they fix this issue soon.

The pablano soup is heavenly... often imitated... never duplicated... the rest of the food is mostly salads and sandwiches... a little bit of California style... tasty but not Texas size by any means... the restaurant... bistro style... the place to be seen with all the other movers and shakers in Corpus Christi...

I had wanted to try this restaurant for a while now. Food was good. My favorite was their poblano soup. Just spicy enough, not over powering, which I loved. I suggest the Sampler appetizer. It is great to try a little taste of all their salads; chicken, egg, tuna etc. If it is your first time I would order the sampler before I would decide on my main entree. I ordered the stuffed avocado with egg salad and the egg salad was a little under seasoned and dry. The avocado was fresh and the fruit that came on the side was pineapple, which was sweet and delicious. The server was professional and nice. She did forget the extra limes we asked for but not a big deal. I would return, it is a cool place and there are other things I would like to try on their menu.

It was my first time here after hearing lots of great things about the place and food. I kept hearing of their poblano soup, and I'm glad they gave me a free sample... then I knew I had to order some! My friend and I had their lunch combo (soup and sandwich)... so good! I've heard they make most of their things fresh and it was noticeable. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone... whether it was a quick bite for lunch time, relaxing get together with a friend or taking out the kids.
