Friendly staff, great food, and the atmosphere isn't too in your face with the decorations. Just enough to let you know that they decorated but not enough to be considered over the top. The food was good, generous portions and definitely authentic. Only problem was we were seated in a place where the sun was shining over the entirety of everything. Couldn't see my wife. Their lunch menu looks awesome most likely what I am getting next time.

Amazing!! Food was wonderful, their strudels are out of this world, seriously, the best!! Kids loved strawberry cake, my mom loved the fudge bombs (I believe they called). Chocolate croissants had a lot of chocolate, which is so awesome. Also bought rye Sourdough bread and it was really good too, reminded me of the bread I ate in Ukraine when I was little. Yummy!! I wish we lived closer, I would go there few times a week for sure. Atmosphere was great and service was also amazing. Wonderful people working at JB's and I am just in love with their accents♡

I just went with my boyfriend for the first time and I loved everything about this place. First off the peaceful environment was beyond great, the service we got transmitted love onto me. The food tasted so good, so simple yet so good. Also very economic, you don’t get these prices for a breakfast plate that big.

A friend of mine told me to check this place out and now I go every time I'm in corpus! So much variety and I love that it's fresh in the morning 🍞🫓🥐🍰 The staff is so attentive and kind so the service is always on point! 🇩🇪 Can't go wrong the cowboy strudel, cheese pie, German Rye sourdough to go, or any of their baked goods! 10/10 will always stop by to get good eats from here 🥸 🥞☕🍳🥓

My besties daughter (doing her residency at Driscoll Children’s Hospital) told me I needed to try JB’s! Since I was born in Germany and visited as an adult and LOVE German food I had to try for myself! Walking in and hearing the worship music that I listen to on the reg playing overhead was a welcome sound! Air1 it was!!! My fave! I came to Corpus with my 14 yo son for a quick trip to the beach and to stay with my “2nd” daughter❤️ Everyone was SO happy and welcoming and the sight of all the magnificent baked goods made my stomach and heart happy!!! We were asked if we wanted a booth or a table and we chose a booth. The booth behind me was a woman sitting down with a computer and paperwork and I knew that that had to have been the owner. Güten morgen, I said (good morning) and Güten morgen I received! I knew it was going to be good. Our server was pure delight and had such an uplifting attitude and presence! We chatted like old friends! He brought a little plate with 2 fresh baked German cookies….heavenly!!! I told our server that I wanted to write a review for Google because it was such a fantastic experience that others needed to know about this restaurant. I walked around and took lots of pictures so that I could add them to my review. I found out that the owner was holding a benefit for a local child who was recently diagnosed with leukemia. She is the same age as her grandchild. The benefit (fundraiser) is being held on 29 July, 2023 at the restaurant from 9 AM until 2 PM. This little girl named Nyla, who is nine years old, has a GoFundMe and anyone can donate!

Went for lunch today, it’s been a while since we were here. I got the meatball lunch special and a side of the soup of the day which was the Okroschka, one of their cold soups. The meatball was tasty, the red cabbage was hot and delicious and the soup was a new taste treat that I enjoyed. Our server Braedon did a great job, he made recommendations and was attentive to our needs without hovering. I quit coming for a while because of the service, but today the food came out quickly and the service was great. The meal even came with a complimentary cookie which was soft and buttery. I’ll be putting this place back on my rotation of places to eat.
