My favorite spot for Carnitas this side of the border. Service is friendly and you definitely get what you pay for plus "pilon".

Went here for breakfast and it was busy so I knew I came to the right spot. 99% of the people were speaking Spanish . Customer service was good and we felt welcomed. The carnitas were tender but lacked seasoning. It tasted too porky or bland for me. The hot sauce was not flavorful and made my meal taste a little better. After eating my leftovers from here I got food poisoning for about 12 hours so I should have thrown the left-over away. I am not a big pork person so will not be back. Also I learned that my stomach is sensitive to lard.

I have been to multiple places in TJ, Mexico City, Santa Ana, and San Diego. I can say this place has the best Carnitas I ever tasted. Hands down the best. They also have great-tasting tortillas and salsa that I recommend getting as well.

The best carnitas in town. Order by the pound and you won't be disappointed.
Update: still awesome! The orange hot sauce is great. The prensado (sp*) is amazing!

My second time to this spot . First time I got the 1 pound meal which was great at that time. You even get a taco while you wait for your order to come up. This time it was during my lunch time, ordered a Carnitas burrito and was Super disappointed. Not only was the burrito 8.99$ but it had NO meat in it! It was a dam rice burrito! Also ordered a soda and total was 13.86 I believe. I was looking forward to this spot but killed the vibe with the expensive rice burrito I got. The more bites I took the more rice I found 👎🏼You get a better deal going down the Street to Carnival market store.

This place never disappoints. We always order by the pound Surtida , Maciza , and Buche . The flavor is sooo good they are always moist and never greasy or fatty. With the combo they give you Rice, Beans, Salsa Red and Green , Limes, Cilantro, Onions and pickled onions and carrots.
