El Meson Restaurante Mexicano

Please be advised. I mean no malice by my review. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. The food was terrible. It started out bad with the chips and salsa. I was not expecting warm chips (would have been nice) but the "salsa" was shrimp cocktail sauce. Shrimp cocktail sauce, really, for chips and salsa. Inedible. This did not give me high hopes for the rest of the meal. I was not disappointed. I ordered the special. Enchiladas Suizas. Supposedly four chicken enchiladas with queso and green chile sauce. The chicken was dry, overcooked and terrible. It was wrapped, dry, in a tortilla. It was drizzled with about a tablespoon of queso and about a tablespoon of green chile sauce and a big glob of sour cream. It was served with dry crusty, overcooked rice. The pico de gallo was acceptable except it was 1.99 for a tiny cup. The special was supposed to be 8.99 but I was charged the full price of 9.99. I didn't notice until later. This is not a mexican restaurant. They just use spanish words on their menu.

If I could rate this place a negative 5 I would. It was horrible. Me and my boyfriend came here for the first time tonight and will not come back ever. Was told we could seat ourselves so we did, waiting on someone to wait on us for 10 minutes and no one ever showed up. So I would not recommend this place to anyone ever, unless you are just going there for music and not food because you will wait forever for any service at all.

I'm a dasher and stood at the host stand for a long time waiting patiently. A couple walked in behind me and stood in line. An employee completely ignored me, looked straight past me, and sat the couple behind me. How rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. The employee was male and looked to be mexican and middle aged. I was offered no help from any employee they just stared at me like a zoo animal.. And I've tried the food here it's trash anyway.
