Quality over quantity… High quality innovative southern food that doesn’t make you feel at the end like you’ve eaten a whole ox. Every dish we had was nice and had a fresh and light feel to it — even the fried chicken! Great wines by the glass as well as cocktails/mocktails 🍹 🍸 I’ll be coming back to try some of the other dishes.

The food was very nice. Flavor and plating was a delight. I personally did not love the shrimp dish because I was expecting something else. The grilled oysters were hands down the best I have ever had. The prosciutto app I loved. The trout was done very well with just enough seasoning. The apps were a little high, but you are getting the quality, so it works out.

A+, upscale food that rivals big city 5 star restaurants. Was pleasantly surprised by quality and taste of food. Fast, friendly service. Nice dining area. If any criticism, I'd say they need to move into a nicer building, but that's me being critical. Regarding the portion size of the food it was a little smaller than expected (especially the vegetable plate), but we were actually happy for the size being that we had enough room for dessert without being stuffed. I got the seared salmon, girlfriend got the vegetable plate. Both were outstanding! For dessert, I got the brownie with ice cream. Girlfriend got the fig creme brulee. Both again were A+.

We visited for lunch on a weekday. There was no place to park on the property due to all spaces being full including behind the restaurant. We ended up parking across the street (which is a much better option than behind the building). We were seated immediately. Our server arrived in about five minutes. Drinks were provided quickly and, surprisingly, the food arrived from the kitchen in about 1o more minutes. We ordered sandwiches which came with cheese straws. Food was interesting and was plated nicely.

A really simple, but well rounded, menu highlights this charming restaurant most might pass by on Baxter Street because signs don't funnel one in there! Call ahead of time to avoid a long wait in the restaurant or enjoy the nice bar area with a cocktail of your choosing. While the night started out on a really rough footing due to our server, one of the other waitresses really stepped up to the plate and made our visit outstanding!! Started out the night with Hot Chicken and Shrimp Appetizers and they were just "Ok" - I'll definitely be trying the Oyster app the next time in, as my dinner guest was extremely allergic to shellfish, I obliged and avoided them altogether this visit. Side Note: You can totally order the Pickled Okra as a dish for like 3-4$ - I ordered two of them and easily ate them as I awaited my entree. I had the Chicken Thighs (pictured) with a salsa topping and it was good overall, just really salty in some bites and not packed with flavor in others, felt like it needed more sauce to go with the generous amount of chicken provided. My favorite dish of the night was their spin on an Apple Crisp, but Green Tomatoes were in place of the apple and a really neat spin on the dish was including local grits in the ice cream, which gave it an interesting texture I enjoyed, although my guest did not. I can't wait to try this Cozy, Off the beaten path restaurant again in the very near future! Cheers

I'm from out of town and had dinner here on a Thursday, so no wait. Sweet potato soup was perfect, creamy and flavorful with some slightly crunchy veggies and pecans for texture. I ordered two "small plates," a Korean style fried oyster dish, and a Brussels sprouts dish. Each was terrific by itself but pretty similar in spicing and textures. My bad, though perhaps the server (excellent overall) might have tipped me to that. Dessert was a Cuban style flan, not too sweet though I wonder if it's to everyone's taste. Kudos to the bartender for mixing me a perfect (tangy, not too sweet) Old Fashioned. Five stars from this foodie.
