Woohoo, another McDonald’s! At least it will start off clean!

While this location started out as a dependable location, it's consistency and customer service has decline over the the past few months. Today I sat in the Curbside pickup space waiting for my food. Nearly 20 minutes later, no sign of my order. I called and let someone know how long I had been sitting to which the reply was they'll be right out. As for order consistency they almost always forget the dipping sauce for nuggets and straws for drinks. This time it was also the wrong drinks.
Word of caution for anyone ordering either through drive-thru or curbside pickup, CHECK YOUR ORDER when they hand it to you.

After just ordering a coke and strayberry banana smoothie in my way home from work, I was told to pull up to the pick up 3 window. This was after waiting 20 min already through the drive they cause the inside was closed.
After waiting 35 MINUTES AFTER I paid I’m super frustrated. Called the McDonald’s since I heard from no one after sitting here parked for that long. They told me they were short staffed but I started counting cars and there was at minimum 30 that went past me while sitting.
Finally after 5 min after the phone call a women came to the window to tell me they are going to start making it and I was like it’s been almost a HOUR since I’ve gotten here. I just wanted a refund.
Literally the worst service at a “fast food” place. For such a simple order. Coke and a smoothie.
Anyway, TLDR: avoid this place. Better restaurants in the area that are sit down that you get your meal, eat it, and leave by the time you get through a drive thru line at this place.

I love the new McDonald's in Apex. The food always tastes so fresh and the staff is always friendly and courteous. Inside is very clean and or never is a long wait. As well the drive-thru is always speedy and the food is always fresh.

I had the most horrifying experience at the new McDonalds in Apex on 55/Williams St: when getting to the pick up window, the young man who brought me my ice cream cone turned to a co-worker (just before approaching the window to hand it to me), put his mouth over the cone, stuck his tongue out over it, motioning as if licking it. Yeah, you read me correctly. I was mortified when he came over to hand it to me i vehemently replied, “I don’t want that!” He said: “I didn’t lick it”. I said I know you didn’t but your actions clearly show you were breathing all over it (in a season of. COVID) as if you were!. UNACCEPTABLE! I was so angry. No one had a mask on and I’m not complaining about that but such an action so close to an uncovered food with his mouth about 2 inches or
Less from my melting ice cream cone made me SICK! He thought it was funny fooling around my food with his coworkers. I immediately reported my disgust to his manager who apologized. I told her if he isn’t fired, he should be seriously reprimanded for such inappropriate actions as a server. Too many times I’ve actually witnessed young people working in these fast food joints not taking it seriously when it comes to customer service (I know some do) But this time? I promised I’d NEVER go back to that McDonalds again and I question my decision all the time now about where I do take out. I know we don’t see everything behind the scenes, but good golly, I actually saw this!!!! YULK!

This went from the best McDonalds in the area to one of the worst in a matter of 1 month. Waiting ~1 hour in the drive thru is not abnormal here anymore. One customer who ordered inside just waited 40 minutes for a single fry. The kitchen is awkwardly silent and the employees clearly have low morale. It's the middle of a Saturday and they have adequate staff so shortage isn't an issue. I hope this is only a temporary funk and it can at least become an average McDonalds.

Very rude employee at the 1st window/early morning. Lady with multi colored eye shadow
I provide the mobile app code at the speaker, and she says, “Pull around.” I get to the speaker and she gives me a total. I tell her that it’s already been paid for via mobile app. She says in a snarky way, “you were supposed to give me the code at the speaker.” I responded with I did provide the code. She realizes that she’s mistaken, but doesn’t bother to apologize, just says, “ok” and hands me the receipt.
Maybe she didn’t have enough coffee this morning, but her attitude was very off putting.

Keeps getting slower and slower... 17 minutes to get 4 large fries at 8:30pm and they weren't even busy. The friends we were meeting at the pool left because they didn't think we were coming. Should have gotten a refund...
