Tasty chili relleno meal. Very, very good. Drive thru is odd but it works.

My favorite restaurant. I've gone here my entire life. Food is amazing. Staff is often lacking. Prices fluctuate.

Bueno. Loved the food! Need to get t shirts for sell. Don't have El taco in AZ anymore. Consider yourselves lucky CA

I've been eating here since I was a small child. The food is consistent and delicious. If you're in Anaheim you have to eat here.

When traveling at Anaheim Euclid between Ball Road and Broadway. I would say by far one of the best places to get a traditional cooked Mexican meal is fantastic it's the original El Taco if you visit one of the other ones but not on Euclid in Anaheim. You will come back to the one on Euclid time and time again I give it 10 Stars

This is a small place with an outside order window and seating and a drive through - and no public bathrooms (so I used the ones at Burger King across the street, which I had to ask to be unlocked).
I ordered a "Small Taco Salad" without reading the listed ingredients from the Large Taco Salad just above it on the menu, while my wife ordered two carne asada tacos. The salad was okay, but turned out to be a salad mix with guacamole, sour cream, and shredded cheese on top in a small styrofoam to-go bowl. After I started eating it and found that there was no meat, beans, or shell - taco salads are not exactly traditional anyway, but I sure didn't expect a salad with some of the toppings that are common to tacos and none of the main ingredients! - I checked the menu and saw that it was described the same way. I finished it quickly and liked it, but wasn't very satisfied, naturally, so my wife offered me her second taco.
She thought the meat was a little dry and was satisfied enough by the first one since they're larger than traditional tacos. I thought it was pretty good - but not great - and agree that it was pretty filling. It was loaded with lettuce more than anything else, had a fair amount of carne, and a small amount of shredded carrots and purple cabbage. They also have us two packets of Heinz hot sauce and two small plastic containers of their own salsa/hot sauce. I didn't try the Heinz, but theirs added some nice flavor and heat to the taco.
The young guy taking the orders was polite and friendly enough and there was a couple of middle-aged guys who ordered right before us. As we sat down to eat, another couple and a single guy all places larger orders and seemed to like what they received. All of them seemed like repeat customers, which is always a good sign.
I'd probably try El Taco again, but I don't come to this area very often, so this may be my only experience. And to be honest, it wasn't a great first experience.
