Island Spice

This is supposed to be a large oxtails. I literally have 5 small pieces of oxtails and paid close to $30.00 for this. The gentleman didn’t even show me my food before fixing it. They make you pay first, then go to the back to fix your plate. Wouldn’t issue a refund after stating that this was not a large plate. DO NOT eat from the establishment. I have never in my life paid almost $30 for oxtail and received small niblets. Please zoom in on the pieces . Also refused to add more oxtails. I should have made the drive to Fern Gully Jamaican cafe in Kennesaw.

I've been so many time and have never had a bad experience sad to see other blacks put down a black establishments, I've talk to this lady so many times and never got rude, she went above and beyond for me and didn't know me from Adam. Food has always tasted very good. Talk to people before you rate them because people read these comments and make life changing decisions for this owner. I don't know this lady by her name or owe her anything so don't think I was told to comment on her I was just looking up the phone number and checked out the reviews. Tough to see the comments true carribien people talk thing out instead of downing an establishment. Sorry to the people who missed out on this opportunity of eating here

Visited for lunch today since I was in the area. The curry chicken was really good. As fellow Jamaican, I can appreciate authentic curry. I wasn’t impressed with the roti which I love. I’ve only had roti made fresh and hot & I personally prefer it made that way to consume. It wasn’t terrible-just a personal preference of mine to have or made in house & hot. The lady was very helpful in answering my questions when I called and while I was there eating. Overall, my experience was a positive one. I love supporting black own businesses. I will eat here again.

Slow service and Mediocre Jamaican food!! The curry goat was just average. The Coco bread was rubbery, like they put in the microwave. It became hard as a rock as it cooled down. I asked for white rice and got rice and red beans. I called the order in, waited 15 mins before leaving to go there (10 drive) and still had to wait another 20 mins for my food. They were definitely short handed! Honestly, NOT impressed. Likely won't go back.

It’s average in taste. For the price you pay they don’t give you a lot of food. The rice isn’t cooked and there’s no gravy.. where’s the juice?? That’s the best part. I’m very disappointed and upset that I spent $14 on this. I should’ve went the extra 4 miles to Jamaica’s best cuisine or golden crust. Golden crust is expensive but at least they give you a lot of food and you actually taste the Caribbean spices.
