Beautiful hotel! Hotel lobby attendant David checked my husband and I in. David was very professional, friendly and informative. We stayed one night in the old wing of the hotel. Room was cozy. Just perfect for the two of us. Both the room and bathroom were clean, and the bed mattress and bed linens were very comfortable. Thick bath towels were great too. We will definitely be returning for another stay at Hotel 24 South!

Perfect location, clean, well-appointed room, friendly/helpful staff, comfortable king sized bed, convenient parking in garage under the hotel. We stayed for 3 nights and explored the Staunton & the Shenandoah Valley region. Was a great home base for our visit. Don’t expect to dine at the hotel as the restaurant isn’t open, but they have basic breakfast items available each morning (coffee, yogurt, fruit, etc) and there are plenty of nice lunch & dinner options in the downtown area, right around the corner from the hotel, just steps away. Then hotel even has laundry facilities for guests, if needed, which was convenient for us since we were on a long road trip through the south. We will return for sure!

Room didn't have a minifridge, but otherwise it was great. Nice view out window. Was able to easily walk to downtown for dinner and drinks. Safe parking in garage with elevator to hotel lobby nearby. Grab and go breakfast was not things I would eat but I appreciated the effort and stuck to the complimentary coffee.

Here’s what you get for $262/night in June: location. Other than that you get a two queen bed room comparable to Comfort Inn but with no hand soap, no refrigerator, no microwave and no ice bucket. Parking costs you another $7.50/day. The hotel has no restaurant; the free breakfast was grab and go hard-boiled eggs and store-bought muffins, yogurt, breakfast bars, juice and brewed coffee and a little paper bag to put it in. The hotel bar was closed on our Friday night.

Positive: Central to the town walking distances to restaurants were short. parking garage was convenient. Staff were friendly and helpful beds were very comfortable Negative: no refrigerator in room (fee added if requested) Ice machine on our floor was inoperative Shower head was not adjustable and water jet was too strong '

The hotel originally opened in 1924, but is very updated with modern amenities . It was designed by H. L. Stevens and is still considered an excellent example of the renowned American architect's work in the Colonial Revivalist style. Wonderful opportunity to stay away from the mainstream lodging. Rooms & amenities are great! Staff is excellent.
