um I of Japan is not my favorite chuhibese restaurant in the local area. does the job if you want delicious quick Chinese. I enjoy hot and sour soup and chicken wings. not the most authentic Chinese available but the do a great job in preparing a decent meal. reasonably priced, and quick on the go located kn the mall it's easy and never leave hungry from umi

I went here Mon 4/8/19 for lunch with my school friends and teacher and Instructional Assistant and I had their Umi Chicken with Noodles and let me tell you it was the best thing I ever had considering i have never had anything from their restaurant before this menu item that i had was soooooooo good... It is a must have if your at the Northshore Mall in Peabody MA and you try this place it is a must have while i haven’t tried any of their other things and only the Umi Chicken and the Lo-mein noodles the food was sooooo good.. Service was superb! I can’t remember the woman who served me but if you served me Monday around 12:15pm at the Northshore Mall you deserve some recognition for your amazing and kind service you gave me. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone it’s a great place to have some Japanese Food. Btw Management or Corporate of Umi Japan if your reading this please thank this woman for me for her service.. I will be back next time i’m at the Northshore Mall..

Somewhat friendly staff but the food was mediocre at best. They don’t use real lo-mein noodles, it’s lterally spaghetti tossed in an extremely bland sauce. I ordered tempura and got mostly balls of just fried dough. Pretty disappointing experience overall but it’s mall Japanese food, what more can you expect.

It was great in the moment but the aftermath was awful. Every time I have eaten there I have gotten sick. The first time I was up the whole night wanting to throw up. The second time I actually did throw up. The whole night I was constantly sick, it was awful! I will never eat there again.

If you're looking for expensive water down teriyaki this is the place for you. The food is beyond terrible and has no taste. I will NEVER come back here. The customer service is also bad to top it all off.

they overcharge you more for taxes, be aware that is a tactic to get more money from you. That is not good
