Stillwater Grill - Okemos

Food was good. Had the stuffed Salmon with crab. Crab filling was fishy tasting so not my favorite but fish was good. Pricey but everything is nowadays. if you order a special drink on menu plan to pay around 13-15 dollars a drink. Little to pricey if you ask me. This is the blood orange and blackberry rum punch. We would definitely go back and give it another try.

We sat at the bar this time and had a great time. It was a good thing we weren't in a hurry because the bartender was overwhelmed but the food was delicious and we asked ourselves why we don't eat there more often. We lived chatting with the people who were sitting near us who had also just gone to the Wharton Center. It was a special evening. We really enjoyed our night out!

No wait for a seat, prompt friendly and helpful service throughout. Our meals- fish and chips and a Nashville hot chicken sandwich - did not take very long and were quite excellent. We are not often in the area, and had previously seen the restaurant but never gone. We will certainly be going there again when we are out that way.

I am writing this review because I feel the customers are being misled, if not lied to. I had dinner yesterday and ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo. The menu didn’t state that it came with soup or salad, I was taken aback when the waiter asked which one I wanted. I asked if it was included with my meal and he said yes, so I ordered soup. When I received my bill there was a charge of $4.99 for the soup. I questioned the charge and the waiter said that management told the wait staff to basically lie about the soup and salad being included with meal and then charge the customer. Talking about dishonesty. The charge was taken off my bill, but that is not the point. The wait staff need to be honest from the very beginning, and shame on management. Pay close attention to your bill to make sure it is correct!

The food was very good. The service was stellar. The drinks were on point as well. I ordered a guava mule and I must say "hee haw"...lol. It was a bit pricier than I expected and there was an additional surprise convenience charge. However, the service was great and there is a neat life size horse statue at the bar. I would go here again for a special occasion but not just for a after work dinner.

I will always remember first experience at Stillwater grill. It was magic from the moment we walked thru the door. Food, enchanting, service more than magical, the entire presentation was a night to NEVER forget! Steaks, a dream! Wine selection offered seemed more magical than the menu, somehow! What a rush it was to experience this majestic grill! Go! You will not regret it!!
