Arepas is an excellent lunch and dinner spot. Anytime I find myself in Kettering I try to stop in. The old building being setback from Dorothy just adds to the authentic feel. Watch out for the Scorcho sauce, it's definitely hot but packs some serious flavor and is worth the heat. I got the columbian platter with black beans, chicken, scorcho sauce and cilantro lime sauce with a fried egg on top. Clean plate club for sure!!

Delicious food and very reasonable prices. The restaurant is very small but the flavor in the food packs a punch. They offer both dine in and takeout. Give it a try, the food is fantastic at both locations I've been to.

I've never had Colombian food before today and I was hesitant when my boyfriend suggested this restaurant, but upon letting them know that it was my first time, they took the time to explain what everything was, their opinions on each, and were all around FANTASTICALLY friendly. The food was great too! Incredibly flavorful. And there's outdoor seating! You won't regret coming here :)

Checked out this cool spot after reading reviews on Google. This was my first local spot to check out in Dayton. Arepas did NOT disappoint!! The entire meal was well priced and very satisfying, I'll have leftovers for a couple days. Can't wait to return!!

Great food... AWESOME prices. Definitely worthy of taking a look at if you're in the mood for a cultural experience. The dining area is a bit small, but comfortable. There is outdoor dining available. We loved the empanadas and the dipping sauces were "unique!" Service was great and the employees were extremely helpful. You won't be disappointed in your dining choice!

LOVE this place!! All the staff is so friendly and helpful. My son has bad food allergies, so they were very helpful with telling me what was safe for him. Most restaurants wont do that, and wait for you to order something different. Not here! The girl behind counter even told me how I could make something similar for him at home! The owner, her kids, and all of her employees are so kind! Def recommend this place!!

I’ve never had a bad experience with this location until tonight. When I asked for black beans the lady said, “You don’t want black beans.” Alright, no sweat. So I moved onto the meat, and when I asked for chicken I was told they were out of it... but that it would take between 5-10 minutes to heat up. So I stuck by my choice and it took maybe a minute to heat up on the grill so I’m wondering if the 5-10 minute remark was just to save them some work. I noticed that the lady handling our food had no gloves on but I shrugged that bit off. When we had asked for bottled water they told me they were out, so I asked for a water cup and they said they didn’t have any. Then I had asked for a soup bowl for my leftovers because I didn’t have enough food left to justify an entire container, and the lady told the gentleman she was working with not to give me a soup bowl because they were running out of plates. Anyway, the food was still good but the service tonight was super off-putting. I’ve raved about this place to my friends for over a year so I’m pretty disappointed.

The food we ate was good, the staff friendly, but the air conditioning was out and the floor boards on the decking needed repair when we visited in early June 2017. Will definitely try again.

What's really cool about Arepas & Co is that the whole menu is gluten-free, sans the tres leches cake. Dairy can be avoided by skipping out on cheese. In looking over the menu, what is clear is that each creation sounds better than the next and the prices are certainly low enough to allow for a sampling of the menu. I had an arepa and empanada, both of which were fantastic. Read my full review for all the details!

Love this place. I'm happy they have expanded to a location where I can enjoy their food more than just three days a week. My favorite is the Patacon con Todo. The food is exactly as advertised: simple delicious Colombian comfort food! The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. Try everything once.

This little quaint stop is right in the far hills area. I saw this restaurant referenced in the Dayton Newspaper. I was eager to visit. This restaurant is a mix of Columbian street fare and down home Columbian cuisine. I tried many of the items on her menu including the: arepas (sweet corn variety), fried plantains, columbian platter, empanadas (chicken, garlic mayo, rosada sauce, tomatoe cilantro sauce, chicken and beef. The four boxes of food plus tostones three leches cake and one lemon lime drink were 29.00$. I honestly dont know where to begin seeing as that most all the food was so good! The chicken and beef were well cooked, very tender, and seasoned well. The sauces were delicious. I would put the garlic mayo on my toothbrush, its that good. The corn, red beans, and black beans were all mild in flavor, the key was that they weren't over seasoned. The empanadas were crispy on the outside, chewy creamy and warm on the inside. The tostones were a little over fried, but crispy and delicious. The rice in my opinion was a little hard, but everything together was like having a symphony in my mouth. Mrs. Lisa the owner made almost everything in front of us. The owner was very friendly and brought our food to our table. She even told us the story of how she came to prepare the streetfood that is so common to the workers of the area in Columbia where her husband is from. My taste buds are literally watering in anticipation of the next time we visit this place. The food is delicious and very affordable. I was informed by Mrs. Lisa that they have a location in 2nd Street Marketplace downtown right next to the Cheeky Meats booth.<br/>Please go visit this place and delight you mouth in the heavenly taste of Columbia!

Food tastes good, but portions are very small. If you order mazorca You get 1/4 cup of meat and 1/3 cup each of corn and beans. Maybe that's enough for some people, but I'm still hungry after eating there. Don't think I will go back.
