Denny's

Psssh this place was terrible! My boyfriend and I stopped in one afternoon (not lunch rush). A lady and her son were seated ahead of us. They stated they had been waiting about 5 minutes or so. There were 6 other people seated through the whole restaurant so keep in mind its pretty dead at this point. One young man was cleaning up the 5 dirty booths while one girl was seating people. One couple seated with only menus appeared to be very frustrated when my boyfriend and I were being seated, and they walked out. We sat down and were never acknowledged again. After almost 10 minutes we followed suit with the other two families who walked out. At that time the manager and two other employees who had all been on the their phones emerged from the back. I informed the manager how long we had been seated with no service as well as the other three families who had walked out. She showed no interest or care that hundreds of dollars walked out of her restaurant.

Overall I had a nice experience. It’s been a while since I’ve eaten at a Denny’s. I recently started a new job off the exit and with few places to choose from, Denny’s is the best to choose from in my opinion. With the exit being a main truck stop point there should be more than 3-4 places to eat. When I first walked in no one was at the front to seat me, I honestly was assuming my experience wasn’t going to be pleasant. I was wrong. Although there is a staff shortage for the front, the 2 waitresses showed attentiveness and kindness the entire time I was there. I will definitely return! Thank you, Denny’s! ❤️

There can be a bit of a wait as usually they are short staffed, especially in the evenings but despite the wait the food is always really good and made very well, which I can appreciate. It sucks having to wait sometimes, even after I’ve placed an order ahead of time but I’ll always take a wait over my food being rushed and not cooked or over cooked. Staff is always very nice and apologetic when it comes to long wait times too. If you’re not in a rush it can be worth the wait. If you’re a truck driver don’t expect to run in and run out. You’re gonna have to find parking and then go get your food because you can be sitting over 30 minutes waiting for it unless you order way ahead.

Food was delicious I had the bourbon chicken platter with the tortillas and a strawberry lemonade. The only thing I didn't like was the carpet was real filthy and need to be cleaned. Something kept hitting on me and not sure what but I kept hitting at whatever it was could have been gnats, mosquitoes or fleas but whatever it was it kept making me uncomfortable. Clean that nasty carpet better yet remove it.
