Crossroads Seafood

I want to say we (all 9 of us) went to celebrate the Dads in our family the Tuesday night before Father's day and I can not commend the staff enough. Our waitress was FANTASTIC!!! The food was DELICIOUS!! The crab legs were on point, I love the red beans and rice, the fried oysters were great and my brother in law said the frog legs were spot on (I'll take his word for that. LOL) and as always the atmosphere was welcoming. We always enjoy going to Crossroads.

The servers are very sweet that’s why I gave any stars. However, if you’re looking for a good meal please keep driving. The crawfish dip was literally a bowl of room temperature cream cheese with a few tails. The crab cakes were mushy and terrible. The gumbo (and they told my husband they make their rue in house) was awful. The ‘rue’ (and that’s a stretch to call it that) literally tasted like a pack of instant brown gravy. It was thick and not good at all. The fried cheese bites were small, overcooked, and soaked in an ungodly amount of grease- like maybe they don’t use a basket or let it drip before putting it on plate. The shrimp po boys were actually not bad but they were not worth making a trip for even though they were a nice size. Overall, if Cajun food is your jam and you have good taste please keep driving. Everything was bland. We spent over $50 here with two people (group of 4- I imagine the other couple was about the same price range) and i was completely let down by their 4 start rating. This place won’t be in business too long.
