Ruby Tuesday

For my 1st visit ever to a Ruby Tuesday, I wasn't really impressed. Came in for lunch last Saturday and the place was next to empty except for 3 other people. The server was ok. She wasn't very helpful. Pretty much dropped off a menu and took my drink order. Waited several minutes while she stood behind the bar. So made my decision to just get the salad bar. Salad bar, well, it's definitely got a mixture of different greens and a few other toppings. Some bits just seemed out of place like they belonged on entrées. They had a bunch of different potato and pasta salads, but none were that good. And their one dessert on the bar was I'm guessing suppose to be an Ambrosia but it wasn't. Server only brought 1 refill. All in all. With a server who spent most of the time on her phone behind the bar. A lack luster salad bar. I think 4 stars is a good complement.

Our server was very good. She got all our orders exactly right. Nobody even came close to running out of water,tea,or pop. The salad bar had a good selection and everything looked fresh. My steak was a little past medium rare in one side and a perfect medium rare on the other. The only issue was that it was freezing in the restaurant. My mother-in-law noticed the thermostat and really wanted to turn it up.

When we arrived we were told that the wait was 20 minutes and that the kitchen needed to catch up. There were maybe two tables with people seated. The restaurant was practically empty with open seating and they still wanted us to wait at the door or waiting area. They kept allowing people into the bar area after us and letting them get salad before us while we were still waiting for a table with a hungry toddler, so we just left.
