Myself and 3 of my co-workers dined at Tresca last night. Our reservation was for 5:30 and we were early, so we sat at the bar and had a drink. We were seated upstairs by the galley and the restaurant was empty at that time (it was early). We ordered more drinks, apps, our mains and dessert. The evening flowed quite nicely with no lulls between courses. The service was stupendous. At this point we didn't feel rushed, but we were also not eating particularly slow, as we had tickets to a show at 8pm. After dessert, the waitress brought our check, we put the card down and she took it off to process. During that short period of time a gentleman with whom we hadn't seen prior had approach our table and, in essence, asked us to leave. He stated that we had been there for quite some time. We WERE, but we were dining and not dragging our feet to order another course, pay the bill, etc. It was a lovely evening, but this interaction took us by surprise, as our waitress had our credit card and we were getting ready to go. It was just so strange and off-putting. Now, I need to reiterate, our meals were fabulous and we enjoyed every moment. I would like to just suggest that before the "table handler" decides to talk to the diners about leaving, maybe he should have checked with the waitress to see where we were in our "check-out". I am giving 5 stars because aside from this, it was a very nice experience, good friends and good food. Hopefully my review is taken as a constructive critique and not at all a bad one.

Excellent Boston north end meal for large party. Excellent service, very friendly and attentive. Excellent swordfish. Two floors. Packed-in tables. Moderate noise level. 20% tip automatically added for large party. Would return.

Great time on the North End, eating at Tresca on a busy Saturday night. Two of us dined at the restaurant before, one was a newcomer. We ate upstairs in the dining room. We shared the fried calamari with hot peppers, Caesar salad and margherita pizza. The apps were really good. The pizza crust was slightly thicker than I prefer, but tasty nonetheless. For dinner we had chicken Marsala, capellini gamberoni and pollo Bella bocca from the specials menu. Each chicken dish was very tasty and although they looked similar in presentation, each had a distinctive flavor. The pasta was very fresh. The chef/owner Rich may end up at your table checking in on your dining experience and offering suggestions. The waitstaff was friendly, attentive and addressed our allergy concerns. We will definitely return.

Our experience at Tresca is always amazing. The service is great, the people are great, and the chef Rich is incredible! I try to always get something different and this time I picked the pumpkin risotto since it’s seasonal. Hands down best risotto I’ve ever had! This is a must try item on the menu if you haven’t yet!

Taken care of like we are family! The meatballs are the the best in the north end! Make sure if you’re there during the fall you get the risotto stuffed pumpkin!!! The veal chop is my go to!! Chef Rich is amazing!

Dined at Tresca last night for our first time and can’t wait to go back. The food was soooo good as was the service. We were able to sit at the bar which gave us a perfect spot to witness the upbeat atmosphere and attention to detail the staff obviously cares about.

I’m not someone who typically leaves reviews, but my first time at Tresca was so great I just had to. I came here with family for a birthday dinner after seeing many positive reviews from others with food allergies. The staff was aware of my nut allergies upon arrival as I had noted in the reservation and answered questions with confidence and without judgement. Chef Rich came out to the table to speak with me about my meal and our waitress Maria was quite knowledgeable too. The lobster ravioli was AMAZING and the portion was generous too!! My parents enjoyed the seafood stuffed scallops and veal Milanese. Drinks were good and service was quick. We’ll be back!!!!

I sat at the bar. The bar staff were so busy and yet they still managed to serve me. Obviously very experienced and adept to busy evenings. I had the lobster ravioli, very generous with the lobster filling. Cream sauce was great, light enough so it didn't feel like it was going weigh in your stomach. I had the doughnuts, nice and fresh!! I polished off both dishes easily.

The wild mushroom gnocchi was good but the real star of the show was the burrata. The ingredients were so fresh and colorful and full of flavor! I sat at a table by an outside window and I smelled weed the entire time which I didn’t enjoy.
