Haven Wine Bistro

The place was hopping when we arrived a little after 6PM. I think it was busier than usual due to the Christmas tree lighting event at City Hall a block away. There is plenty of street parking, no restaurant specific lot since it is located at Atascadero downtown. Although busy they were able to clean a table and seated us immediately. The service was excellent and they were very attentive. We had the lamb burger ($18), and fish and chips ($22). The burger was juicy and tasty. The fish and chips were served with beer battered snapper. I opted to substitute a salad for the fries choosing the balsamic vinaigrette dressing. I never had this dish made with snapper so to Mty surprise that it was excellent. The salad was topped with roasted quinoa, crunchy and pleasant. Hubby used some of the dressing on his burger and he recommended it. The beer selection has a rotating seasonal selection. That made hubby happy. He had a pilsner type beer which I had a taste. Yeah it was good. Service was friendly and easy. We actually had several people helping us as the staff helped each other to ensure their guests were taken care of. Overall a great place to experience Atascadero. I would come back again. Good food, decent price,not too difficult parking.
