Dan's Grub Shack

The brisket sandwich was DELICIOUS and tender. Fries, super crispy The fish used for the fish tacos was delicious as very lightly breaded, with a little cabbage and cheese. If you are looking for fancy tacos or Mexican fish tacos, this isn't it. But the fish was great quality. We would definitely stop in again.

We stopped here after a day at the beach. Sat outside as we had a fur baby with us. These folks are the best. So nice and accommodating for our group of 5+. I highly recommend the Mac & Cheese burger - split it with your BFF and def have the tots. My teenage nephew had the Danimal....and finished it! We'll definitely be back.

We stopped here for lunch on our way to Santa Barbara because of all the great reviews. My husband and I shared the Macaroni Bacon Cheeseburger and Brisket Cheesy Fries and they were both amazing! Dan knew we were sharing and very thoughtfully served our sandwich halves in separate baskets. Will definitely be back if we are in the area again.

Well, this place did not disappoint. Was a little apprehensive due to the prices. But when we received our food we we’re pleasantly surprised. I had the bbq brisket sando & my husband had the Ortega chili burger. Delicious!!! We had fries that tbh I can live without . They weren’t bad . Just not my style of fry. They we’re nice enough to offer refills on soda. & overall with the prices of everything being very high these days, that it’s worth the money. We’ll be back!

Best kept AWESOME grub spot in Atascadero. The most underrated thing about this place is the French fries. The fries have a batter crust on them that makes them so delicious. It's a light batter but man it's good. A few years ago that ranked as the county's best. The menu has all kinds of crazy burgers that are delicious. I met the owner and she is a very nice woman that loves to talk. there's nothing fancy about this place but then again do you want fancy when you're just going to get your grub on. The burgers and a sandwiches are grub. It's an open play so you can watch them cook which is always a plus. I had a sandwich today that had ribeye steak they're homemade sauce tomatoes lettuce onions cheese ham bacon in Turkey.... And for all you medicinal users out there you will love this place.
