Welcomed when we walked in and were seated promptly. The salsa had a small bite to it which was pleasant. The food came out quickly and was delicious. Full of flavor and sufficient amounts were served. It's a smaller restaurant but we'll worth it.

During my travels I was invited to El Manatiel a family owned Mexican restaurant that served up real Mexican food by real people with charateristic hospitality and friendliness that was refreshing and encouraging. A fiesta of good food and good times that will not be forgotten because this is living at its best. This is Amarillo's oldest Mexican restaurant and a local tradition for the many Mexican residents that make up the robust Latino culture in this region. This was a good night to be alive and celebrate the vibrant Mexican heritage and culture that is Texas.

Menu said, Authentic Enchiladas.
Gross!!! It wasn’t red Chile, but they were coated in tomato purée.
Service was good.
Not a good place to eat if you want authentic Mexican food!

Pros: food is delicious, very well seasoned, very Mexican taste. Coffee is worth it!
Cons: portions are very small; we had to order something else, prices are expensive for the portion.
