Great atmosphere, and much cleaner than when it was Sneaky Pete's years ago. Good pub menu with reasonable prices and lunch specials. Good portions on dinner entres. Live music several times a week.

While the exterior could use some updating the food and dining room atmosphere is execllent.
My first time there shocked me... It looks like a biker bar from the outside but is very welcoming once in. The dinning room has wood walls with folky knick-knacks. My service has always been great and my food has been wonderful.
I highly suggest getting a burger here. You really get your money's worth and definitely won't be disappointed.

UPDATE:
Sadly, Black Bear Tavern has been closed for about 6-8 months now. I miss this place.
What can I say... I love this place. Don't expect 3 Michelin star meals or anything, but the food is great, the atmosphere is comfortable, casual, and friendly, and the beer is reasonably priced. What more could you ask for? Say hi to Al and Dawn when you're there.

The place itself is good but the women working behind the bar was super. Can't remember her name but she was really good.....late afternoon lunch. Meatloaf, however, not so good. Wings good though! I recommend if you are in the area.

For a local bar, the food is amazing! The bartender is awesome. Staff is friendly and they always have live music on the weekends. Not too many places around like that
