Chopsticks

I ordered chow mein and rice they put this stuff on top of it it didn’t have any noodles in it. I called to tell them and they say they put oyster sauce on top of all chow mein but there isn’t even chow mein in here the menu didn’t say anything about oyster sauce the rice is bland and gross they didn’t offer a refund they didn’t offer to substitute my food. The lady pretty much acted like I should know that they were going to add something that they didn’t have on the menu to my food now I’m out $18 and can’t even eat this. I normally never review places but this is ridiculous

This is not the best Chinese restaurant in the world, but it's very good, fairly priced, has excellent service, and delivers consistency in their food. I've been eating hear for many years now and am very satisfied. The family that runs it is very friendly and work hard to deliver a quality product. I think it's the best all-around Chinese restaurant in Oak Ridge.

Service was adequate (checked up on me, delivered everything to the table timely), food was hot, but man, it was just mediocre. This is a run of the mill Chinese food place, and there's nothing spectacular about the flavors. Everything was exactly as one would expect it to be, not bad at all, just nothing that sets it apart from every other Chinese place I've eaten at around the country. I love that they're closing down to attend their child's graduation, shows great family value. All in all nota bad experience, just meh..

They have a lunch menu. I called at noon. Order an entree and soup, lunch cost 8.25. I go to pay and it is 17 dollars. I ask why so much? Oh we gave you the dinner size because you did not tell us lunch size. So if you call at lunch. It is YOUR job to tell them you want lunch during lunch hours. Keep that in mind. Also it was clear I was frustrated as a customer and they did nothing to resolve it. This is a solid family owned business. They stay busy. This review won't hurt them, but I will stick with New China Palace from now on.

Food was nice, good price, decent amount but the service was terrible. They make you feel like you stumbled into their personal homes and asked them to cook for you. Not welcoming or friendly at all. You can get the same type of food from a million other places so don't bother wasting your time here.

The food itself is amazing and the owners are very nice to be around. I have loved chopsticks for many many years but I and many others I know have been turned off by going here because the young girl that is there most of the time at the register is extremely rude. She's always talking down to people and rushing, talking in a tone that makes it very obvious that she's being bothered. Often times she gives judgmental looks to people as well. It's a shame that she is still in the front with the customers because she ruins the experience for me and several friends who would normally like to go here. .... If it wasn't for her I'd give the place a full 5 stars because the others are friendly and are enjoyable to be around and the food is VERY good with good portions and no msg- everything is made to order not sitting out under a heating lamp... if Chopsticks can put this girl in the back away from customers then i'm sure dining in or take out experiences would be more enjoyable.
