First I would like to say that Cuban Pete's is not what cuban cuisine is. I have went to 3 cuban restaurants so far and this one surely kicks Cuban Pete's 10 times. Our food was freshly made you can really tell. How they season their food is out of this world. I truly recommend this place and it's way cheaper than Cuban Pete's! I ordered the chicharones,deep friend chicken bites in lime and garlic, chuleta with rice&beans and fried maduros, and a skirt steak with a papa rellena and spanich in garlic. The food was so good i sucked the bone of the chuleta. My wisfe skirt steak was tender and juicy with alot of flavor. We will definitely be going back to try something else on the menu.

I had brunch on a Sunday with family and friends. They provide a limited brunch menu with fixed price that includes appetizer, entree and bottomless drinks, plus sides for additional price. I had the cuban soup and huevos garcia. I really liked both because they were well seasoned without being spicy. Everyone seemed to like their dishes. I didn't give five stars because the service was a bit slow, but overall it was good enough to deserve a second visit for lunch or dinner.

You will be doted on by waitstaff who are eager to recommend dishes if you are not familiar with the offerings. Look no further for authentic Cuban food and amazing sangria.

The food was saliativating and amazing. I ordered the steak and the gaucho fries that comes with rice beans and sweet plaintains. Portion size decent. Seasoned perfectly. Municipal street parking available 0.25 cents for 1/2 hour. They have seafood meat options and my friend got corn balls with cheese sauce inside it was $78 total bill. The raspberry desert with pistachaios is to die for. The chipotle chicken empanadas and pasion rum drink is 💞🔥💞🔥😍😍😍

Came in at about 7pm on a Thursday and it was so empty. I was skeptical at first as to why no people were dining here but now I know why, too EXPENSIVE ! What lured us in were the 2 for 1 drink specials which we later came to realize that was at the bar area only, should of asked before hand. The server had great knowledge of the menu and directed us in the right path. Food was delicious and flavorful. Drinks were good and so was dessert. Will come back eventually but with heavier pockets, after all it is Nutley.
