Honestly Samurai is usually pretty good. Although today I was really disappointed when my partner and I decided to order take out. This was our first time ordering from the menu for a to go order. We have gotten a sushi roll or two a couple of times before hand. When we called the guy who picked up the phone was very rude (we forgot to ask for fried rice with our bowels), said that when people call they usually know how to order… then when we picked up the food and brought it back to eat, it was barely even half way full. EXTREMELY disappointed. I also watch him ignore incoming calls while I waited for our food. Samurai is EXTREMELY good when eating inside. Which made this very disappointing, hence the 3 stars. If you’re going to eat inside definitely a 5 star review. It might be appropriate to have a talk with their front counter after today.

We had early dinner on a busy Friday night in Mesquite. Wait time was minimal and service was fantastic. Our server Lynda was a hoot and Chef Martin was very entertaining! There was 5 in our group and everyone was impressed with the food and value. Hibachi chicken, fillet mignon, shrimp, salmon and scallops were all delish! We all agreed we would definitely return!

Wife had shrimp and scallop combo, I had filet mignon and chicken combo. Filet melts in your mouth, chicken pieces smallish, so not so tender. Both in a light, not heavy, brown liquid. White rice on the side. Zucchini, onion and mushrooms in the combo. Small salad with a zesty sweet/savory mayo-type dressing and a clear broth before the entre arrives. 5 star food, highly recommended.

So we got in on New Year’s Eve we were immediately seated but we had to wait a good 15 minutes before anyone asked what drinks we wanted. However I was ok with that because they
Took our order at the same time and everything ran smoothly after that. The food was good! My normal sushi place is Sakura in st George Utah literally the best sushi habachi place anyone could ask for. So to say the samauri competes is huge. The only down side is the chef was new and nervous and wasn’t very exciting but totally forgivable and I’m sure he’ll grow into it!! Final thoughts I was nervous but left pleasantly
Surprised, I had a great time the food and steak
Was amazing! 😁 the whole staff tried hard! I will

Came in for lunch with my family on Monday 6/13 and was the most terrible food I think I’ve had in mesquite so far! Salmon was thin, flat and dry. Ordered a hand roll and what I got was a squished looking roll with a thin film of fish inside. I have this 2 stars only bc we had a very sweet server and my Appetizer of fried crab Rangoon’s were good. I ate here 2 years ago and food was amazing, what happened to this place? Next time I’ll head over to Rain Thai as I’ve had pretty consistent food form them.

Have eaten here many times and it is always good! The service is great and friendly. My only criticism would be that the sushi roll verity are all very similar.

My daughter LOVED the experience! The chef was fabulous and so entertaining. If you get the chance, go! Even if it's busy, it's worth the wait!.
