Harris Teeter

I’ve never had such an awful experience at this grocery before. I went over to the deli section to place a order and was completely ignored. There was no one else waiting but me at the counter. There was a gentleman who was standing directly in front of me and looked at me at least 2x we even made eye contact. He never greeted me or asked me to give him a moment to finish what he was doing. I assumed he was finishing up something so I patiently waited assuming he would take care of me soon as he was finished. There was also a girl behind the counter with him laughing and talking, she also never greeted or all acknowledged me. I continued to wait a couple more minutes then another customer walked up behind me and stood along side me. They both immediately greeted the other customer and asked how they could help him. ALL WHILE STILL IGNORING ME STANDING THERE!!!! I stated “really” to them and walked away. As I walked away I saw a manager and stopped him, I briefly stated that I was just ignored at the deli counter for another customer and didn’t appreciate it. The so called manager immediately cut me off and stated they probably just didn’t see you. I replied they absolutely saw me standing there at least the guy did because we made eye contact multiple times. The manager asked me to walk back to the counter with him and I declined because instead of acknowledging the poor customer service I experienced he immediately attempted to go into deflection. There was no excuse for such behavior and I see where the employees get if from because it starts at the top by example.
