Williams Fresh Cafe

A spacious cafe with a large menu. Service is very efficient and kind, you're given a number to bring to your table and any food is then delivered to you when you're ready. There are many booths here as well as several seats with outlets in case you want to get some work done here on a laptop. Reasonable prices and good food. I especially liked their soup, which was warm and hearty.

I will never forget my last visit to this store. I came in one evening near closing time to order a hot drink and a snack. I was told they would be closing soon and would need to eat fast and leave. I sat down to eat when a dying friend who I was helping called. I was only a few seconds into the call when the employee came to my table to remind me they were closing and would need to leave. I explained to her that I was on the phone with friend who was in crisis and dying. She said she didn't care that I would have to leave.I explained to her that many stores once a customer is in will allow customers to finish and usually allow them 15-30 minutes before having them leave. This is what reasonable people do. And under the circumstances, I thought they would be more understanding. They were not. My dying friend could overhear the entire conversation. The server still refused to accommodate. I asked to speak to the manager and out came the owner's 18 year old son who was just as unreasonable as the server was. I was near in tears as my dying friend was in a crisis and I was attempting to help her. They did not care. I later spoke with the owners who were equally callus and rude. My friend has since died. I did speak with corporate office but was only offered an apology and gift card. The owners of Williams at city hall were among the most callus and self entitled people I have ever met. These people care only about one thing, profit. With the many coffee shops to choose from, this place should be avoided at all costs. I have encountered former employees who worked under the same owners for this Williams location and they shared similar experiences and like me have never gone back. Good riddance, no loss here. If I could give this store a " - 0" I would. Unfortunately the least allowed is one star.
