Borealis Grille & Bar

From the moment we walked in Borealis, we felt welcomed, important, and cared for. Our server Luigi, went out of his way to make sure we had one of our best dining experiences ever. Our meal was prepared to perfection and arrived in a timely manner. Borealis is a splendid restaurant to take your family, friends, and associates. Thank you for much for your first class hospitality and dining experience.

We attended for a birthday celebration and had Luigi as our waiter. Before even getting to the meal options, Luigi was quick to give us a local history lesson about the building. Which was very fun to them take note of all the photos on the wall. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and great a attitude of being "obsessively local". Food was exceptional. Will attend again.

Came to try this place for the first time on NYE. I am very happy with the service we received. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I also love the history of this place and the atmosphere was awesome! All the staff seemed so welcoming and provided excellent customer service from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious. My steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare. I can't wait to come back here to try more of their menu items!

Is there a 6 star option? We recently had one of many work events hosted at The Borealis in Kitchener. Because of the exceptional service, we continue to host all of our work events there. The restaurant is beautiful with stunning architectural designs, and paintings. The service is always beyond fabulous, and accommodating to our needs. The food is always divine, and we love supporting farm to table!! Thank you so much for hosting us!!! I'm sure you'll be seeing all of us soon 🙂

What a beautiful place that I’ve heard so much about on the radio but never went. The food was great for a reasonable price as well, the service was amazing. Luigi you are the man my friend, so kind and funny. Made sure we were always taken care of, as well as tending to all the tables around us. We felt nothing but great vibes with Luigi and the Borealis experience. I’ll be back soon Luigi thank you!!

We decided to try something different for our staff Christmas party this year. Borealis was awesome to work with and made the whole planning process painless. They booked us their private Tom Thomson Room which easily accommodated all our staff. They were gracious when meeting us all. The menu was set but there was an option for everyone - beef, chicken, fish and vegetarian. We had 36 people and all the food was delivered promptly and hot. No one was left waiting, nor were there any errors. We had two servers (Patricia and Luigi) working our room who were welcoming, efficient, accurate, funny and charming. 10/10! Would highly recommend for any business function or personal dining experience. Well done Borealis. Your kitchen and staff are top notch. We would not hesitate to use you in the future for any of our company functions. Cheers!

I really enjoyed our meal here this evening. We ordered the 10oz steak, medium rare, with the small Caesar salad to start. The steak was flavourful and delicious. The veggies were also very tasty. I finished with a cappuccino, and my fiancé had a double espresso. We really like that the food is locally sourced. We plan to return!

Legitimately one of the best dining experiences my wife and I have had since moving to Kitchener from Toronto. The prices are reasonable, the food was delicious, presented well, and we were served large portions of every thing we ordered. The service was truly outstanding. In a world where customer service and hospitality seems rare, Luigi was one of the best waiters I've ever had. Not only did he recommend an entree, he recommended a side substitute based on the appetizers we were having. After dinner, he showed us the entire restaurant because the building is a converted school with tons of history. Knowing everything that can be, is sourced locally, made things even better. It didn't break the bank while we went home fully satisfied. We will be back for Date Night on Wednesdays.
