Great cafe in a cute street. The food and price were really good. Can understand why this would be a favourite with locals. Had the curried scallop pie which was yum with great flaky pastry. My mate had the salmon bagel which had really good bread too (probably the best bagel dough I’ve had - crispy and not dense). Would revisit.

The cafe seems to be loved by the locals. Quite a lot of customers mid morning.
Came in for a piccolo coffee, a chocolate croissant and a chocolate eclair. They all tasted really good! Price for the three items comes to $15.10 which is on the higher end.
For their coffee, I think they use a light roast for their beans so recommend a double shot for anyone who likes their coffee strong.
They offered sweet and savoury pastries as well as freshly baked bread, hot sausage rolls and pies. Places with these sorts of selections are hard to come by these days.
Just a note, there's different pricing for dine in and take away. From what I saw, depending on what you get it can be an extra $0.50-$1.5 if you choose to dine in.

The duck sausage roll and the coffees were the highlight for me. I did have the scallop curry pie - I thought it was okay. The blueberry tart was good too. The staff were lovely. It is a nice boutique bakery.

Wonderful place for brunch! We stopped by after recommendations from a friend and lobed the homemade pastries and the overall vibe of the place. We even picked up a couple of items for takeaway to share with friends. Would recommend others to drop by coffee some good coffee and delicious brunch.

We visited Jackman & McRoss several years ago so prices in the photos are probably no longer accurate. My friend is a baked good junkie so we had to stop here. She said it was a must. We weren't disappointed - the food was delicious. We had a pie each - the pastry was really flaky and delicious, the filling full of flavour. As we left we couldn't resist grabbing a sweet treat to eat while we walked.

A top bakery for dining or takeaway. We visited twice, enjoying a scollop pie (slightly too much curry for my liking), lamb and rosemary sausage roll (beautiful pastry, but not enough flavour in the mince) and King Island beef pie (the best choice). Cakes are all very tasty. Huge selection. We worth a visit.

My absolute favourite bakery in one of the most beautiful suburbs in Hobart. Love the cream buns on Saturdays! Super dog friendly with their outdoor seating. A must visit in Hobart.

Loved it!! We had brunch here today and it was fabulous. The service was great and the food arrived at our table very hot and quite quickly - scallop pie, porridge with figs and an egg tart. We had previously read great reviews about Jackman & McRoss and the cafe certainly lived up to these reviews. Definitely worth a visit.
