The Standard

Visited while staying in Hobart after researching where to find a good burger and I was not disappointed. Seriously I think this was possibly the best burger I've ever had. Bun was nice and soft, and the patty was cooked perfectly and with the melted cheese.. YUM! Not to mention the fries, I don't know how they do it but everything was excellent! Dining space is pretty cool, with a main dining room on the first floor, and a balcony on the top floor.

This is the best burger joint in the country, discovered it years ago when my ship pulled into Hobart and it was just a hole in the wall down an alleyway. Now it's a multi-level store with excellent decor. I flew from Canberra with my wife just to prove to her how good it was and we ate there everyday of our holiday. 5 stars isn't enough and I wish there was a shop in Canberra.

My partner came here twice during our stay in Hobart after reading great reviews. The first time we came was during the week where they were doing takeaways only, which wasn't what we planned on doing originally, but they were delicious anyway! The burgers were tasty and the the chips were amazing! We then went back on a Saturday night when they were doing dine-in, and the burgers were amazing yet again, and service was great. The place has a really cool atmosphere too. If you like burgers then you'll love this place!

Have been previously and it was okay, not rave worthy. This time, order was messed up, we were the only ones in the place. Son refused to eat his burger after 2 bites, said it tasted strange. I tried it and found it bland and the taste was just the overpowering burnt bun. My burger was like it was cooked in Heinz yellow mustard. The onions were the only other flavour, that patty was impossibly thin. The wife's grilled chicken burger was the worst of the lot. Inedible. And you pay top dollar for this. It's not worth the money at all.
