Hungry Howie's Pizza

I ordered a deep dish pizza and a deep dish cheese bread. What I received with my pizza was a half eaten, weirdly cut flatbread with bacon and cheese, complete with a cup of opened pizza sauce. ???? I spoke with a manager who asked if I’d like the order repeated with a refund, to which I replied yes. What I received afterward was my cheese bread, along with a strange off-menu unique pizza creation supposedly made by my delivery driver(???), and no refund. I get that it was a mistake, but the follow up was what really solidified this as a very strange experience. Hats off to the manager for keeping her cool with me as I had a meltdown about receiving half eaten food during a pandemic.

This is the WORST Hungry Howie I’ve ever been to the customers service inside was terrible. My wait for a small cheese only pizza was absolutely unacceptable. I asked bout my ordered and was meet with rude comment and when it was ready they left it sitting until I said something about it being up. I will be reaching out to corporate because the way they treat their customers is unbelievable. My pizza was also disgusting. I also didn’t feel safe at all inside of this location, there was a man sitting inside asking to support his project then got mad at customers for not responding stating he was just released from prison. The worker didn’t say anything to this gentlemen while every customer inside felt uncomfortable and moved to the other side of the store. I will never return to this location! Ever and I will be writing their corporate office because the customer service was terrible.

I place a order today and I asked them if they could deliver to my house in Detroit. They took my address and told me that they were able to deliver and that the order would be to my house in 30 minutes and she asked how would I pay and I told her cash. I ordered 3:37pm and I called back at 4:32pm because my order wasn’t delivered yet. A gentleman (not so much gentle) answered the phone and said you have to pay with card you can’t pay with cash. I explained so why didn’t anyone call back and say that. He said they didn’t get the chance to call. I hung up because I refuse to give my business who are inconsiderate of peoples time. Do better with the next customer because there won’t be a next time for me.

Hungry Howies has been my favorite for many years now. 😋 I have never had any issues, let me say this first. I always order my pizzzas for delivery. This evening I noticed that my pizza box was not secured/sealed with the circle sticker as it usually is. I called the Ferndale location and asked to speak with the manager. Not as a rude customer but a pleasant customer with some constructive criticism. I explained about my box being sealed and the manager response was " we only do that for Door Dash customers". I let him know that I have NEVER used Door Dash to order a Pizza from them and my pizza box was ALWAYS sealed and secured closed with the round sticker. He said that they had some "regular " drivers today. Ok what does that have to do exactly with my concern about a seal on not on my pizza box? Anyway, the manager was very pleasant and I thanked him for my FAST delivery. Love my Hungry Howies in Ferndale. 😊

The manager that runs the establishment is extremely unprofessional and condescending. I ordered ahead of time only to have to reorder my pizza on arrival and wait double the time for my pizza. When I addressed the issue he tried to ignore me and act like he didn’t understand how his policy worked. Needless to say it will be the last time I come to this u professional establishment.

I asked for a Howie special and the guy misunderstood me and I get a Works. Which was the best pizza I have had in a while. The guy could hardly speak English but I understand they need help. I also a cookie and there was way to much oil or whatever they put in the pan to cook it the cookie was greasy.
