Dickey's Barbecue Pit

I usually enjoy eating here for lunch but today I was very disappointed. I came in an ordered a regular classic sandwich BBQ plate with two sides and ordered my wife a Caesar salad with meat something she normally gets. Everything was fine with my sandwich and sides not going to complain there but my wife's salad she normally orders...well, it was really embarrassing today. It was a little bitty side cup of lettuce. It was literally 4 bites of a salad plus chicken which cost me almost $6.00. I asked the lady did they not have a bigger plate or salad choice and she said, "Nope that's all we got!" She gave me my food and the container the hand full of cut up chicken was in was 3 x larger then the actual salad. (The cut up chicken container is normally what the Caesar salad is served in.) Sorry Dickey's but we probably won't be coming back to this location.

I took my meal to go. I ordered the two meat plate with two sides-- ribs, chicken, creamed spinach and mac and cheese. The portions were slightly smaller than what I'd expected but not a big deal. I requested the sweet sauce and spicy sauce as well just in case the meats lacked flavor or were dry. I used the sauces to sample them but can honestly say they aren't necessary. I was extremely surprised at how moist and flavorful the chicken breast was-- unfortunately there was an undercooked piece in there as well which took away from the experience. The ribs were very flavorful. The creamed spinach and mac and cheese were ok IMHO and I probably wouldn't order them again. Would I give them another try? Yes. Only next time I'd probably stick to the meats only. Edit: I received excellent customer service while there. The staff was extremely friendly.
