AMAZING views! Fast and friendly service! This was such a special place to enjoy a drink and watch the sunset. I highly recommend coming here even if you aren’t a guest at the hotel. There is tons of seating and the drink prices are reasonable for the atmosphere the place provides.

Pricey but quality food, beach front, with excellent staff. Make sure to bring a light coat for chilly evenings otherwise there are plenty of heaters on the deck to keep you comfortable.
Day time views are picturesque and there is always a light breeze.
People watching is a fantastic site sport

Went here on a Sunday afternoon for a quick bite. The food was good but overpriced. You’re really paying for the views and despite it being cloudy outside it was still nice to be out there. I will say the service was top notch and our server had a bubbly attitude!

As the reviews show, Sun Deck delivers in that scene from the tourist magazine of San Diego where you are enjoying drinks by a firepit at the beach watching the sunset. Now obviously there is a price for this.
First, the tables are first-come-first-serve. And naturally, you have parties that literally squat forever at the corner locations or where the wind blows the least. Second, the prices are high for tapa-style finger food to accompany drinks. And because they're so, the portions aren't big either.
Again, you do not go to Sun Deck for the food, and whatever food that may come out, they'll go cold fast anyways. You go to Sun Deck for that magazine shot and to feel like you're living life to its fullest in San Diego. A great place to go outing with a group of friends. Not so much as a restaurant.
One exception to this: the falafels on the Mezze Platter is out of this world. Not sure if they bought it from a local shop but it almost felt out-of-place to be so crunchy and flavorful.

Overseeing Point Loma and the Pacific Ocean this Restaurant Bar has the perfect location. It enjoys the benefits of being part of the Hotel Del in Coronado CA and to enjoy one of the most beautiful beaches in the whole county. My wife and I took our pet to a stroll and only had a drink there - I can't comment on their food -. They have great service but the tab can go up very quickly..... Keep an eye on your budget when ordering.... Still, this place is a must if you happen to visit San Diego.

Lovely place to catch the sunset by the beach.
The deck is usually crowded so come early to get a good spot.
Food and drinks are priced a bit high since it's a premium property but their service is good.

The views and ambience are worth the visit, tho on the pricy side. Good sandwiches, salads and interesting cocktails. No reservations or hostess - find your own space. Nice waitstaff

A change of menu is always good and they hit it spot on! Ask for Ben ~ best waiter and suggestions. The beet salad was amazing and so was the rest of the food. Definitely won the #PrettyDrink award with the colors and orchid 💜
