The two gentlemen working at the bar are the best! They supplied me with delicious coffee when I found the stuff in the room to be rather bad, and they found me a piece of chocolate cake when the cupcake place nearby was closed. Very nice guys and I appreciate them making my stay better. The bar and restaurant was a great area for our group to gather, and the view from the restaurant's outdoor seating area is magnificent, especially at dusk!

Seriously, the calamari might be the best I've had since traveling to Greece. Everything else was good too! Our waiter Marco, was so delightful. Highly recommend!!

Albaca is located inside the Coronado Marriott resort. Most of the people at breakfast looked like hotel guests. But the restaurant is open for outsiders as well. Parking is free for three hours in the underground parking garage if validated at the restaurant. There is seating available inside and outside. Outside is beautiful with a view of the pool and the bay. The breakfast buffet is open now (after being closed for covid for a while). But the restaurant was crowded and I opted to order from the menu. The coffee was good and there were free refills. The garden omelette made with egg whites was full of lots of veggies and goat cheese. I was impressed with the amount of vegetables but it totally lacked seasoning. Had to add lots of salt and pepper! The potatoes were crunchy and perfectly roasted. The sourdough toast was as expected. Our server seemed to be having a not so good day, unfortunately and wasn’t very friendly. But she did her job. The prices were a bit high but you also pay for ambiance which was perfect. A perfect San Diego experience with bright blue skies and a gorgeous view of the water!

1000% Beautiful views! Albaca is the restaurant in Coronado island Marriott resort. We went there twice for breakfast and a couple of times for cocktails while we were staying in the resort. Speaking of which, Avocado toast and cocktails were decent, but the rest of the food was pretty mediocre, like really really mediocre. Breakfast buffet wasn’t tasty too, salmon tasted fishy, scrambled eggs were totally overcooked, waffles were soggy and flavorless. What’s even worse? I found out that some food was expired!!! Servers weren’t very attentive either. It happened to us when we wanted to order room service, they just never answered the phone. Honestly, this isn’t the first Marriott I’ve stayed but probably the worst service I’ve ever had in the hotel restaurant. I wonder why?? Tips: There are tons of better restaurants in Coronado island and they are walkable. We used Doordash too.

We stayed at the Marriott for five days and ate breakfast at this location. The view was incredible, the service was wonderful and the food was delicious. The weekend was very busy and had a wait list to get a table. However, during the week day it was very slow and the staff was quick and accommodating. Bonus! Kids had a blast playing next to the restaurant on the grass filled with many kid friendly games. A large connect four game was sitting an the grass with multiple other kid friendly games. Safe and easy to watch them from the restaurant! Restaurant sits next to the pool area as well with gas lamp heaters ans open air seating.

Good lunch tacos, a little pricey but to be expected for the area.
