Fat Fish

Fat fish restaurant is now one of my new favorite places! This sandwich (The Fat Fish) was only $8 and came with a side and drink. This is a whole pound of fish on a sandwich. I also tried the lunch special shrimp basket for $6.50 and I was very impressed that it had so many shrimp! The staff is very nice and I highly recommend this restaurant!!!

I ordered a chicken sandwich and the chicken was not even half the size as the bun. It it was a chicken finger on a huge bun. I paid all this money for a bun. They burned all the hush puppies. The chicken was more like a gizzard. If you have ever had a gizzard, you will understand. If I was not snowed in, I would return this food ASAP and ask for a refund.

I love trying new restaurants, especially local businesses. Tonight we tried Fat Fish. It had a good rating on Google. Fat Fish.. Definitely NOT! We ordered fried fish, we got a lot of skinny flimsy scraps, that were over cooked. We ordered shrimp as well. Though the shrimp was a good size, it was over cooked too. Not enjoyable meal at all. The only thing I enjoyed were the hush puppies. You are better off going to Captain D's. At least you know what to expect.

The seafood was fresh, the servings were more than enough, and the prices were very reasonable. $16 for a good-sized flounder fillet, 4 nice scallops, and 4 large shrimp. Included two sides, a hushpuppy and corn cake. The breading was nicely seasoned. They have family-sized meals to go, which is a great idea. There are only a few tables, so not good for a large party. They have started opening for weekend breakfast, too. Definitely worth a try.

My wife and I ordered the flounder dinners. The food was piping hot and very tasty. The two pieces of flounder were pretty small for $12 a plate. It should have been a least three. The service was good but the tables need to wiped down more frequently. We had to clean the table ourselves. This was our first visit to Fat Fish. We might try it once more sometime later.

Went here for lunch today for the first time, and there was an unexpected lunch rush. While the grilled shrimp and fish tacos where absolutely delicious, what was most impressive was the staff. The staff consisted of one stranded employee. She was able prep and serve all the food (quality did not suffer at all in the hecticness), stay on top of all the in person orders and phone orders, and maintained lovely customer service. Hope you appreciate her accordingly Fat Fish!

Small menu but the quality of food was amazing! I had the 1/2 lb scallops basket with mac and cheese. Watched them open my scallops, season, and cook. Everything was delicious! Drinks are bottle so refills only on tea. Can't wait for another trip to Chesapeake to try more of the menu. They recently added breakfast on Sat & Sun which look interesting.
