Amici

We had a great meal today from Amici! I read about them in the “Eat Drink To Go” group on FB where the owner had posted. It’s a family fun food truck in Buda and the food was great! The family owned a restaurant in Little Italy in NYC so they know their stuff! We had an assortment of salads, pastas, and chicken parm. Everything was great! They’ll also do a half (children’s) portion of any dish - the tortellini is a half portion and was more than enough for my daughter. We will definitely be back!

My folks and I all split Chef Salad and 2 Lasagnes. We all loved it. Salad hit the spot. Its ingredients all tasted fresh; I noticed the tomato's great flavor especially. I can't expertly describe Lasagne. But, I was really digging it from the first bite (as were my parents). So good! I did at times notice components on their own. Pardon my vague descriptions but, sauce was delicious, as was the ricotta, and the meat blend (beef? beef & pork?). Textures were pleasant (I'm used to weird textures you find in frozen lasagne). And ratios were perfect; I'm big on ratios. Family run business. Professional attitude. Extremely Friendly! Good vibe. (I had this posted on the wrong restaurant. Review is from 7 months ago)

I’m so glad I finally stopped in to try this place! Being from the east coast and growing up around a bunch of Italians I can honestly tell you the food is as good as it gets! We kept it simple and ordered a few meatballs and the pasta bolagnese. It’s tasted delicious and just like a home cooked meal made by grandma with love. Will definitely be back to try the lasagna next time! It’s a great addition to the neighborhood. Please give them a try and support the local spots.
