Came back after ten years away and it’s still delicious! Robert the bartender was great and really the entire staff were fantastic. We had the fish dish, a little pricey but very good! My wife loves the smoked ice-cream.

I went here with family for a birthday dinner. The service and the drinks were excellent but the food was just so-so, and way overpriced! The Canelo was my favorite drink and the one with espresso was very good too. I had the clam pizza - the crust was delicious but the clams were tough and chewy and the pizza was lukewarm. My sister had a special vegan “sauce” pizza with spinach that she enjoyed, but same issue with the temperature. My cousin ordered the seafood platter which was $78, so we expected something exceptional. It was not, the scallops and fish were good but the mussels and shrimp were off. Maybe it’s that we are from Washington, but the seafood was a letdown. Finally we had the lamb pasta with fresh noodles. They were (I think) too thick for the dish and it was also lukewarm but the savory flavor was good! Not sure why there was such an issue with the food temperature but it made for a somewhat disappointing meal at the price. Kind of regret going here for my birthday dinner but I guess it was nice to try. If anything, I recommend coming just for a pre-dinner drink and appetizer.

Flavors on flavors. Great ambience in the restaurant and the dishes were delightfully unique that Basta has its own flavor profile beyond just being Italian or Italian inspired. The plates are a little bit smaller than I would expect, so maybe going for one plate per section of the menu. Plus maybe one or two more plates in any given section.

AMAZING dishes and truly incredible, personable service. The burrata, red pizza, white clam pizza, and gnocco were all must haves! Very reasonably priced for the quality. Will definitely be back next time I’m in Boulder.

Cool vibe, nice place. I ordered the smoked olives appetizer (amazing) and a friend and I each ordered a pizza with a cocktail to drink. You can tell this place prides themselves in carrying high end ingredients and that they want you to have an exceptional experience. Unfortunately, we were the second table seated and probably the first pizza in the wood burning oven of the night. It seemed the oven may not have been hot enough yet to cook our pizzas correctly. I ordered the "Peppers" pizza and it had basil on it, not the oregano the menu had described. We had leftovers, and to our surprise, our pizza was shoved and folded like an accordion into a small plastic togo box. Very odd. Don't forget the 22% "service fee", just raise your prices, that's tacky.

2 small pizzas for take out cost $62. Really expensive. Unique ingredient combination was just okay. Crust was great. $7.50 / slice not worth it. Even if price was half, still would not be worth it. Just my opinion. Maybe will go back one day to try something non-pizza.

Disappointed after first 'dining in' here in a few years. The menu has shrunk, the wine got far more expensive, and the pizza was so-so. During covid we got takeout with a great salad many times, now it's gone. Some favorite pizza combos gone. $80/person for a pizza and a couple glasses of one of the least expensive wines is out of balance. Won't go back for a long while.

Starter salad was flavorful and generously portioned. Wood fired pizza was delicious and worth the wait. Calzone was ok but filling was not heated sufficiently due to size. Have a glass of wine and enjoy company. Outside dining pods were heated and covid protocols were in place. Would go back and try again.
