Austin Chicken Express

We just happened upon this place while waiting on a church event to start. We were hungry and wanted something quick so we thought we'd give this place a try. The owner greeted us at the counter and was very gracious and welcoming. He patiently answered our questions and thoroughly took our order and he even gave an estimated wait time for the fried catfish, which is fried fresh. We got our food shortly after and oh my goodness!--- Everything was GREAT! The spicy tenders, catfish, fries, hush puppies, iced tea...aĺl was delicious!! The owner stopped by our table twice to check on us and told us to enjoy our church event as we left. Top Notch service and great food! Can't wait to try it again.

Just wanted to give a shout out to Diane! I received the wrong order close to closing time yesterday and called to see about getting my order remade today, I came into the restaurant and Diane and her team took great care of me, remade my order fresh. Excellent customer service and great food at this location!

Okay we came here for the first time since both of us (my future husband and I) were so hungry we were desperate. A bit of background about me is I am gluten intolerant, not celiac but certainly need to avoid gluten. I was just hoping for maybe some fries or some side that would be gluten free. The website says that they don't have gluten free options. IT WAS SO WRONG!! The owner was there and he baked a three piece fish option, had coleslaw and made sure I had everything I needed. We are on the way to our wedding and the owner of this store went out of his way to help us eat. Normally I'm extremely picky and even if I'm starving I have a hard time eating bad food. Let me tell you when I absolutely demolished my food it was life changing. The fish was beautiful and now smelly or oily (which is almost impossible for fast food) but my sides were mild and not overpowering. Super fantastic and can't recommend this place more. I will return!!!
