I got “the standard” and it was one of the best breakfast sandwiches ever, I miss it so much. The biscuit on top is super moist, the sauce was tangy, the baked egg was fluffy, and the bacon was perfect. The people were super friendly and reasonable prices as well. The coffee is also super yummy. Made for a perfect hungover debrief.

Unexpectedly very good! I didn't know what we would get here, although reviews were good u never know with some counter-service places. I got the chicken salad and DH got the ABLT.unique twists on croissant and focaccia, respectively. Lots of outdoor seating with umbrellas on a sizable patio. Easy to find and ample, free parking behind the building.

We live at a summer community in Wells. A group of us have formed a Breakfast Club and eat out together every Friday morning. Our usual place, we think, has gone downhill since a new owner took over. We’ve been going there for years. This morning 5 of us in the Breakfast Club group tested A Cafe and Bakery for the first time. We all LOVED it. REPEAT, ALL OF US LOVED IT. The place is immaculate. There’s a nice selection of food and bakery items. The order taker was very friendly, patient and helpful. The food was great and, as a bonus, less expensive than our prior place. We’ve all agree, we have found a new weekly Breakfast Club location! Wahooo.

Very lovely place that smells great! Only 4 sit down 36" round tables ensure social distancing isn't a problem, with more seating outside. Plenty of parking in the back. They keep a clean dining area. They'll ask for your first name to let you know when your order is ready. I ordered Anthony's Meatloaf on focaccia (pictured) and homemade Tomato Soup with bread (also pictured) which they brought to my table. Really nice atmosphere. No kids when I was there but I did notice a high chair.

This place is lovely! My coffee was delicious...and I'm stuck drinking decaf, so that's saying something. We also tried the mini maple monkey bread, carrot cake and molasses cookies, all top-tier. I'm still having fond flashbacks of the sheer maple magnitude of the mini monkey bread. Definitely coming back here. A lot.

My fav spot for breakfast & lunch! I love A Bakery & Cafe- everything is made from scratch in house from their desserts to the breads their sandwiches are served on. Customer service is excellent every time we go. I love the Chicken Salad for lunch and the Standard for breakfast and I always snag a maple monkey bread if they have them. Open 7 days a week and in the off season this is a must for locals & visitors!
