Absolutely love this place hotdogs are fantastic and they come out fast as hell so does the french fries and gravy at a very affordable price surrounded by good people with good parking can’t beat it if you’re looking for a small spot with a big appetite and you’re craving some hotdogs

You remember lunch time in grade school? Simply burgers, dogs & fries. With a couple other school house favorites. Good eats if your looking fast and simple. Great place for picnic food

I've been coming to one of their locations for 50 years and the taste is still great. Hot dog w chili mustard and onion and always a side of French fries and gravy.

I have been going to Shortys uptown since I was a little girl....Love Shortys!! Great family business and great people. Food is awesome! My cousin Mary, born and raised here in washington, lives in Texas...when she comes home...shortys is one of her first stoos..😊😊

Shortys has good dogs. Not GREAT dogs but good dogs. Both locations are old, outdated and pretty dirty. Not gross but pretty dirty. The fries and gravy are good and the prices are reasonable. But they only accept cash. I know they do this so they don't have to pay the fees for using cards, but this costs them a lot of my business as I don't carry cash. So I head to Jimmy Johns or somewhere that accepts cards. They do have an ATM inside the restaurant but lord only knows what the fees would be for an ATM withdrawal. And of course that's not a credit card anyhow. If they would clean up a bit and accept cards they would do much better in my opinion.

This place is a Washington living legend. I am 66 years old and have loved this food since I can remember. I've enjoyed two with everything, gravy fries and chocolate milk at the downtown, Wolfdale and Washington mall (when the mall was still open) locations. I moved to DFW Texas many years ago but always do Shorty's when I visit. This is the best hotdog in the world bar none!
