I have been coming here since i was little. The family who runs it is amazingly sweet. I remember when the fountain was in the middle of the restaurant and always packed. Its since slowed down and most people do take out but the food is still my favorite around. Will always be my favorite egg rolls, fried rice and crab Rangoon.

Went in last night and ordered a Mai tai at the bar. I was the only one in the entire place. The owner told me most people don’t order Mai tais as his are too sweet and to try a zombie. I took his advice and the drink was good. Crab Rangoons- low quality tasted just like cheese wontons. General’s Chicken-one of the worse I have ever had. It’s literally chicken wings (bone removed) and covered in sauce. Not at all like the Generals chicken at other RI Chinese restaurants. The restaurant is dated and has a tv at the bar that should have been replaced about ten years ago. The hole in the wall feel though suits the places well and it would be a fine place to grab a drink. Skip the food, you have Lemongrass down the street which is much better!

I ordered take out . Fried rice & Chow Mein. They said 25 minutes. I went in 25 minutes and it was not even started yet. I sat at the bar waiting another 25 minutes. Finally got the food . Absolutely horrible. not cooked . threw it out. Stay away . This place was a pig stye inside. I suspect they posted their own reviews because it was terrible.

I’m not sure if the Corona Panorama virus got to y’all’s taste buds with these recent reviews, but this place is NOT IT. My husband and I ordered Chicken Lo Mein and the General Chicken combo plate. The first mistake was reading through yelp & Google reviews and trusting y’all’s taste buds. The second mistake was ordering from this place. Tj chicken in the chicken lo mein tasted like it was ran through the dishwater. It had a sudsy aftertaste. The general chicken was soggy and tasteless. No spice, nothing. The egg roll tasted like it was a week old and popped in the microwave before being placed in the to-go container. I would have taken a picture but the food hit the trash before I could take one. I wouldn’t wish this food on my worst enemy.

A ton of the food on the menu is homemade and the service was fantastic. My party ordered quite a lot of food and everything came out better than expected. The interior is a bit outdated and could use some updating but the food and people who work here are impeccable. A must stop for anyone in the area looking for this type of food!
