Jose Peppers

I could spend a lot of time here. It's a really comfortable place. They have inside and outside seating. Stopped in for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. We each ordered a lunch sized taco meal. I got Shrimp Taco with rice and beans. My wife ordered Carne Taco. Both looked wonderful. My shrimp had a sauce on it that was way too salty. But the Carne tasted good. Besides the beans and rice, we each got a little scoop of Masa. What a nice pallet cleanser. Our server was attentive and very helpful. We will probably return for a margarita and dinner.

So if you look at the three photos that's supposed to be 40 dollars worth of food. The most disappointing is the nachos 12 dollars and it doesn't even cover the bottom of the to go dish. Then there was the fajita trio which was ok for one person but was led to believe it was big enough for two. I don't know if its just because we ordered to go but, over all was disappointed. Despite the restaurant only being about 50% full they seemed to be understaffed even though it looked like there were quite a few people working there. There were a few people working really hard while others while moving around looked lost and really didn't much of anything during the 40 min wait of my order.

If you love Tex Mex food you'll love Jose Peppers. I wish other restaurants would taste their salsa & chips. Those were the first two things that had me sold on this restaurant. I ordered the Tres Enchiladas. I substituted Chicken for a second cheese with no problems. The waitress was lovely. When the food arrived I was stunned at the massive portions. It isn't a Mom & Pop place so the prices reflect that, but I got 3 meals out of my JP order. That's a cheap way to eat for $15. I'll take pictures next time. I was to busy feeding my face this time!

We did a to-go order with two meals and three margaritas. The food was fine, but two out of our three margaritas were half full. They were also extremely rude. They put the name for the order down wrong and acted as if it was our fault. They weren't even busy, so I'm not sure why we had to deal with three different people with attitudes...
