El Molcajete

This was my first time going to El Molcajete Cantina & Grill. I was pleasantly surprised. It is a lot larger inside than it looks from the outside. Many tables and social distancing was observed. The restaurant was very clean. I was impressed. I ordered Chicken Chimichanga. Normally when I order from other local restaurants it is never the way it was served in Phoenix Az by authentic Mexicana restaurants. What a joy it was to have the food made the way it was suppose to be made. The price was reasonable and the service outstanding. I will be returning as a regular. Thank you for give our area a good, authentic Mexicana restaurant.

Moved to the area around a year ago, and this is by far my favorite restaurant around here. The quality of the food is unbeatable for the price. Even gave me a free cheese dip when I told them it was my first time here. Favorite day to visit is Taco Wednesday, $1 tacos and they’re awesome. Go check them out!

The food is great. The service is usually great, except for today. Came to pick up a call-in order for lunch, as I do multiple times a week at the same location.. But today whoever was "hosting" handed my receipt to me and followed to tell me to walk it across the restaurant to a different worker to be checked out, opposed to right at the bar where this worker was already standing obviously not occupied in any other fashion. I don't pay for food to be treated like an employee by the management. Disgusting customer service. Learn some respect for customers! Might feel different if they had been busy, but there wasn't a single other customer present. Usually, I never feel the need to leave bad reviews for any restaurant regardless of how negative.. But this sucked.
