Siena- Smithfield

I really enjoy Siena. Never disappointed with the food. Since one of the owners left, it's not the same. I get a different vibe. The menu has changed which is ok, but I swear the portions are hit or miss and the prices are higher. Higher prices are everywhere and I don't mind paying for something but please give me a good portion to eat. I still go on occasion, drinks are yummy.

My family and I enjoyed our experience at Siena. The staff was on point and cordial. It was the perfect opportunity to enjoy our dinner for four. An evening of conversation and laughter along side Siena's fantastic cuisine created a glorious opportunity for my palet and heart. It is a rare occasion to spend quality time with our twenty something children, but the atmosphere, cuisine and service of this wonderful eatery made another cherished evening possible. Siena is one of our most favorite restaurants to visit in RI. Our server Michaela took care of us on Sunday and was very attentive. We had fried calamari and the arancini special. Three caesar salads and finally our entrees- spaghetti and a meatball, sirloin steak, gamberi con Timo and pasta colazolaio. We had coffee, cappuccino and dessert too.

I really wanted to like this place. Unfortunately, none of the food was very good. I got a seafood dish with swordfish, shrimp, and scallops. There was only 2 peices of swordfish, and the whole dish was just meh. 8 don't known if it was the sauce, but it was underwhelming. None of the meals my family got were better than an average chain restaurant, though they were more expensive. The calamari appetizer was okay. And the service was not very good, though they might have been short-staffed. We received our meals about an hour and 10 minutes after we got there, which I consider a long time. Sad to say, buy I don't recommend this restaurant.

Good food awful service. Got bread and took over 20 minutes for a waitress to show up. Finally got a drink order and then she eventually came back with them and ordered apps and food. People who showed up 30 minutes after us with a different waitress were eating their entree before ours even came. While dinner with no dessert took about two hours. Again food tasted good but not worth it will never go back.
