First timer and… WOW!! I heard about this place online and how their desserts (especially cakes) were delicious and reasonably priced. I had my birthday coming up and decided to order a cake here and my experience from beginning to end was nothing but positive! I walked in and the woman working was very friendly and transparent about the process- cake details (frosting and cake types), pickup arrangements, and payment. I was very pleased with how it looked and when I finally got to eat some, I was impressed! The cake was very soft and light, and the frosting wasn’t overly sweet- for reference, I got a red velvet cake with a cream cheese middle and buttercream frosting. My family and I really loved the cake and I definitely plan on getting a cake from them in the future!

So I’ve always order my cakes in a certain location but this year my boyfriend wanted a Spongbob cake and I thought I’d try a new place out, I was shocked by the great reviews this place had and frankly I am always willing to try new restaurants and location and this is by far the best ! Becky was the person who I was contacted right after I had emailed her with a picture of what I wanted and everything, she was punctual and over all a great communicator with me. I very much like the communication she brought to the table, not only that but the picture I sent her she had no ifs or buts , she told me there’s whips she can do and cannot due to the cake texture or ect, she went out of her way to make this cake possible. Loved this place ! She did an astonishing work her and her team mates. Thank you very much !

Amazing once again. Carl makes the best cake and my favorite Bavarian Cream any where. I asked for Carl to make a cake for my husband's 60th birthday using his favorite flavor of pecan pie. To say it is great is an understatement, you can taste the creativity, flavor and care in every incredible bite. I have been a customer since you opened and will recommend to all for as long as you remain.

I want to start by saying that the service was timely and Becky the lady that helped me was friendly and professional. And that is why I am hoping that by writing this review the bakery will make this right. I ordered my spouses birthday cake last Thursday to pick up on Saturday. The order was a simple chocolate cake with the key main ingredient…a white buttercream frosting. I did not get that frosting. When I picked up the cake Saturday afternoon Becky repeated back the order but she failed to mentioned the frosting which I thought was odd, especially when she wrote it down on Thursday when she took my order. At a lovely restaurant in La Jolla when my spouse took the first bite and disappointedly said it was good and not great or delicious; I knew something was wrong, the frosting was not the frosting my spouse specifically told me to get when I went to purchase the cake :( I felt like a failure I had one task only and that was getting the damm birthday cake! And I thought I nailed it, when I saw the cake it looked great I don’t know what white buttercream frosting looks like! But instead, I found defending myself to my spouse saying that I gave Becky the correct order and I saw her write it down. Very disappointed, the cake was suppose to feed 4 and it only fed the waiting staff at the Osteria Romántica in La Jolla (excellent service by the way) my review for the restaurant is next and I can assure you that they will be getting five stars!

Ok, here I go. I was so hopeful of Eccentric International Chefs. I ordered 80 cupcakes and a top cake for my backyard wedding. They were very easy to work with, but here's the catch. They had rescheduled my delivery for my backyard wedding from 1pm to 5pm due to the heat. Great! That worked out a lot better for myself and my coordinator. BUT this is what happened. They showed up at 3:30pm... our ceremony had already started and I (the bride) and my brother who was walking me down the aisle where the only ones in sight when they showed up. Fine, but they stopped us! as we were about to walk down the aisle! All to tell us that its too hot and where should they setup...First, why did they show up an hour and a half early? Second, they stopped the bride during the ceremony?! Third, they didn't even set the cupcakes up, they left them in boxes in the SUN!!!! needless to say, they were destroyed before my mother could even put them on the cupcake tower. It was very disappointing and honestly unprofessional. Weddings are rough, I understand that. But there is a schedule for a reason.
