Steve's Steakhouse

Just passing through, stayed at hotel across the street. Walked over for dinner. Super fast service, good food, decent place overall. The lady sat next to me teasing her cranky grandchild on speaker phone was not my favorite dining experience. I thought for filet crowns there was too much fatty material, they didn't seem well trimmed. The tea and loaded mashed Potatoes were very good. The salad was well made also, with more veg than plain old lettuce, which I really liked. The staff and servers were top notch & a real asset to the place. Probably the best steak house in the area & absolutely worth a stop.

I absolutely love Steve's!! The family oriented, fun, personable environment will keep me coming back. From the staff to the music, the building and of course the most important food is top notch! The wait time is never too bad, and I'm treated like family by all the staff that gets me. Anything I get on the menu is excellent, I've had the steak ends, to the Alfredo, love it all. The cobbler is to die for The full bar is a nice addition. The building and decor is stunning and an enjoyable place to visit with friends. There's even a small coffee shop and bakery in the establishment to grab a yummy treat for the road. Also a great area to host events.

Went for dinner tonight. First of all, they don't list prices for their steaks, which is weird. You have to ask for the price. Our steak ended up being $37. We asked to get it done medium well, but it was done rare and had to be returned back to the chef. But the real shock was their sides - the "seasonal vegetables" that they offered were just green beans from a tin can. I've had better ones at Cracker Barrel. This place's rice tasted like it was from an instant rice pack. When they charge that much you would expect a better quality. Would not visit them again.

Let’s go with a pro/con review: Pros: The front door hostess was nice and friendly! The food came out fast and there was even another server who helped deliver my wife her wine and took another plate from our table when it was done. Cons: Unfortunately a lot more cons than pros (hence the 3 star review). The girl who took our drink order was very abrupt and rude. She got our drink order and asked if we wanted an appetizer, which we did and told her what we wanted. Apparently she forgot to put the order in. Then our real waitress comes out and made us feel so rushed. There’s a difference between being fast and rushed. The next con came when we were ordering our food. Mind you we came in at 7pm on a Friday night. They ran out of chicken tenders. How do you run out of chicken tenders? I order next and with each entree you get two sides. I ordered a salad with ranch and loaded baked potato. After all orders were placed we got our rolls (which were ice cold) and the waitress brought out my sons side salad but didn’t bring mine. I thought maybe she just didn’t have enough hands or the kitchen was still working on it but that wasn’t the case. She forgot. I had to remind her which she then looked flustered and made up an excuse by saying that “she didn’t know my dressing order” (which was a lie). At that moment I tried asking her about our appetizer that never came out but mid sentence she went to another table. My wife was mad because she saw how she just competed ignored me asking about our appetizer. Then our food came out and more disappointment ensued. I ordered a 16oz prime rib and I swear it was a 12oz but how could I prove that? My wife ordered the $10 steak nachos and it was literally soggy tortilla chips with very minimal steak on it. Ripoff. Then the waitress asked if we needed anything else and that’s when we reminded her about the appetizer. She then called out the other waitress (directly in front of multiple tables) who messed up. I thought the whole ordeal was rude. Lastly we got our bill and for $81 I have had better food, service, and experience. I’m not sure what was going on here. My hotel front desk attendant said this place was good. I saw the reviews were 4 star and it was literally next door to the Quality Inn we were staying at so we thought why not? Unfortunately I probably won’t be coming back here again. I have had better steak house experiences.

Service and food was great. However my husband got the trout and asked for rice. They brought his plate with mashed potato and gravy. They messed up my order but made it right. They should never have brought out my husband's dinner 10 minutes before mine actually came out. Patience is practiced. But food was GREAT. Would eat there again when passing through!
