Looking though a few snowflake reviews of this place. The place is old school and the attitudes are the same. I like the owners, the way they are, and the bagels are excellent. I can go here and feel at home in a state I use to call home.

Came for bagels for family. Tried to pay with 100 dollar bill. The lady took it, went to a table in the back with the owner, put it down both stared at me and mumbled something. Took a few minutes "inspecting" it, gave me a few dirty looks and asked me to pay with a card.
Never gave them any pushback by the way.
Very insulting. At least this town has 15 other bagel spots.

And it's very hard to get a smile from the blond there...
Ultimately, other places try harder to please the customer.

Quite literally the only bagel place i'll go. I've been going to this bagel place since I was a kid and no other shops have bagels this good. I was surprised by the person who said they were rude, everytime i've gone in everyone was nice. I've even been given extra bagels while picking up a dozen. Anyway, cannot recommend enough

One of the best bagels I've ever had. Its sad to see some of the newer shops on 17 taking business away from here especially considering their bagels really are not up to par. People seem to be more interested in what flavor cream cheese is available than the quality of the bread.

Just try one, you will not regret it. Best bagels anywhere, hands down! This place is all about the food, none of the glitz.
The bagels have to be tasted to be believed. Created using the very best ingredients and skills, by a real master baker (as opposed to the franchisees and newbies in most bagel joints).
The place is very clean, and the people are wonderful. If this baker were in NYC, there would be lines around the block all day.
