Charleys Philly Steaks

I went yesterday at 8:25pm to get a sandwich and the lady told me that they are closed because they were slow. They close at 9pm so why the hell would they close 35 minutes early...but in a BUSY MALL FOODCOURT AT THAT? And yes, we all know GSP is busy at all hours of the day as they were last night. They should take a lesson from the Paramus Park location so they can work on their nasty attitude. I get it, your job isn't ideal because you make sandwiches for minimum wage, but don't take it out on the paying customers!

I used to love Charlie's but they made massive changes to the menu. For starters they no longer have american cheese, secondly they put vegetables on the sandwhich by default cheesesteaks should only have grilled vegetables like onions and peppers. Luckily they now have the old school which is good but that's only for a limited time. So once the old school is gone I'll not have much of a reason to come back.

Being from Philly, I'm not impressed. The meat was a little too thick and the provolone was tasteless. The bread was put through their toaster and it was only warm, not toasted which would have made a difference. Also, they pack it like an open face sandwich in a "to go" box which makes it cool too quickly.

Just went to the Charleys in Garden state plaza and my experience was terrible. I ordered a chicken california (chicken with ranch and cheese) and a buffalo chicken sandwich (chicken, buffalo sauce, onions, and banana peppers). they basically gave me 2 chicken california’s except one had onions on it and called it a buffalo sandwich. there was absolutely no buffalo sauce on it and when i showed it to them they hand me buffalo sauce to basically make my own sandwich a buffalo chicken sandwich (and still no banana peppers). I have never had to basically make my own food before. The meals are also served in a way that’s very sloppy. Never going to this location again.
